COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Road trips are carefree adventures that usually take unexpected twists, like when we created this beer. It started out as a Pilsner recipe, but halfway through it blew a tire and Ale yeast was put on as the spare. The result was so good, it never could have been planned!

12oz bottle . Bright yellow color, fizzy, small head. Smells a little sweet oddly, bit of malts. Flavor is crisp, slightly sweet (very slight), mouthfeel is a little slick which kind if makes it less drinkable. Overall not bad but not the most refreshing pilsener and not one I would buy again, glad I got a single. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 05-24-2012 20:47:34

Bottle... Clear yellow ale with a mid-sized, wispy, white head. Decent retention. The aroma presents pale grains, bready yeast and grassy, peppery hops. Medium to full-bodied with lively carbonation. A solid pale malt backbone is dwarfed by heaps of grassy, peppery bitterness. Crisp, bitter, grassy finish. Regardless of the type of yeast used, this is reminiscent of a fairly solid pilsner; much moreso than a blonde ale. Bottle courtesy of drowland!

From the Tackle Box Mix Pack Bottle: Best by 08/14/11 Poured from 12oz. bottle into Stone pint glass. A: Pours a very clear yellow with a .5 finger white head. Very frothy but subsides at medium pace. S: Iím picking up some zesty floral hops with a little funky yeast. Seems pretty dry though. T: Light bitter hops with a malty dryness. No real floral notes that I picked up from nose and the yeasty isnít exerting itself. A little citrus peeks through the more my palate gets adjusted. M: Very light bodied. Crisp and smooth with a high carbonation. Average dry oat malts left on the tongue. O: Meh. I think itís pretty average and no real notes on taste or smell really jump out. Part of the "tackle box" sampler pack...a pilsner made with ale yeast? OK A: Pours a clear straw color with a big, soapy, fluffy white head. Awesome retention in the snifter S: The nose is wheaty, grainy, hints of German yeast, followed by tart orchard fruit. Interesting for sure T: Grassy/earthy hops giving a small bitter bite, more notes of German yeast, grainy, and slight fruit to finish MF/O: Prickly carbonation, light in body, with a fruity and wheaty finish

Tastes a little dirty to me. Pours a light and slightly cloudy golden color with a small head. I donít get a lot of flavor to it. Goes down easy, though.

Tap. Yellow with white foamy head. Smells lightly malty with maybe a hint of pepper. Tastes sweet moving to dry. Grainy then dry with a persistent sweetness.

bottle. Poured slightly hazy straw coloured with a thin filmy white head. Citrusy hop aroma. Light, dry palate, with a sticky resiny bitter finish. Wheat flavour with peppery notes, grapefruit note.

Smell is one wallop of barnyard funk, with some boozy notes. Other layers include rope, and wheat. Color is a hazy golden blonde color. That funkiness almost comes across as a belgian yeast strain. Head was about average and completely white. Not knowing what style it was, I guessed belgian wit. Taste is more funk notes maybe slight clove and orange peel notes. The Sterling hops definitely bring the spice on the back and and the beer finishes with a lasting hoppy after taste which is slightly dry. Once I got my bearings on this beer, I am really enjoying it. A lot. Not at all what I was expecting from a beer called "road trip" but after a few more tastes, the beer really comes alive. Enjoyability 4.5/5. George Clinton Should endorse this beer, master of funk!

Straw golden with a small white head. Nose is hay, light bread, grain, grassy/herbal hops. This smells and tastes like a weaker Victory Summer Love. Doesnít have the same "umph" for lack of a real word.

Bottle 33 cl, Bestways. Pours clear golden with a small white head leaving some lacing. Aroma is malty, hoppy grassy, tea, a bit fruity and dry. Flavor is malty a bit sweet in front, more fruits, tea and breadyness with nice bitter hoppyness from middle bittering sustaining to the end with breadyness, Finishes longlived bitter and malty. Not really waht I was expecting from a blond ale, nice indeed.
