Road trips are balls-out adventures loaded with unexpected twists, just like when this beer hit black ice and got spun!. It started out as an IPA recipe, but halfway down the road it blew a tire and a Pilsner yeast was pitched as a spare; an IPP yo! The fiery Pilsner backbone adds a nitrous-like boost to the van load of hops that would make any German pucker up when those hop afterburners singe their lederhosen!

Brewed with a Lager yeast at Ale temps using Sterling hops and Pilsner Malt to make this a crisp and hoppy twisted up seasonal treat.

Meh. Out of bottle. Not much head or lace on this beer. Slight hop flavor is the only thing enjoy about this beer. Good for a hot day but there are better beers out there.

Draft. Nose is fruity with some grassy, almost catty hop character. Pours a slightly hazy light orange color with medium white head. Taste is very bitter initially with a strong grassy flavor. Some fruitiness like light lemons as well. Overall pretty good but nothing spectacular.

Poured up on tap at the SweetWater Draft House ATL Airport - Terminal A with a clear gold body that supports a white head of foam. The mild (aroma killing tumbler glassware) aroma offers up grassy to spicy hops as well as floral hops and a dash of lime. The taste is nice and hoppy up front with spicy and grassy hop bitterness that is thinly ringed with a mild floral hoppiness and some pilsner like malty sweetness. The hops are still the front runner right into the finish which is ok by me. Nice hop forward brew.

12 oz bottle. Pours a hazy golden with a bright white head that leaves plenty of lacing. Aroma of earthy hops, pine, orange, wheat and malts. Rather dank. Taste is dank citrus, orange peel, pine, malt, and wheat. Long dry and slightly bitter finish of earthy hops, pine, citrus and malts. Light body, sticky texture, average carbonation. A pilsner IPA? Definitely different and pretty damn good.

On tap at the Atlanta airport taphouse, terminal A. It pours a clear, golden body under small, dense, white head. There’s some maltyness on the nose, with resiny, lightly peppery, grassy and floral hops doing most of the work. It’s dry and full-bodied, with a tad too much carbonation. Some grainy pale malts in the flavor, notes of resins, grass and flowers and a suitable bitterness. Lasting bitter finish with a faint metallic hint. Wow, this was a nice one. I ordered the brown, but the waitress mixed up the orders and I got this instead. Didn’t think it could beany good after two different IPAs, but it was. 140511

An unpleasant aroma almost fishy, with a hint of something burnt. Cloudy straw colour with a light roasted grain taste. A dry chalky palate.
