3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle best before August 2, 2010. The more exciting thing about buying this Tackle Box is that I get some seriously fresh Sweetwater IPA. But, all in all this American styled wheat beer isn’t all that bad for a style I usually don’t like. The typical flavors of wheat and toned down fruity notes are here with very light citrus, but everything is really clean and balanced. It’s a light bodied, mild wheat ale to quench the summer thirst and is serviceable as such. But as with other American-style wheats, this lacks the strong esters or citrusy punch that a good German or Belgian wheat may have.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear golden blond coloured, small white head and very little carbonation. Very special fruity (peachy) light hoppy sweet aroma. Medium palate. Finish is sweet fruity with a little bitter and dry finish. Very special.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
A little on the lighter side of wheats here with a toned down grain profile. A touch of banana hiding in there with the requisite lemon citrus flavors. Pale yellow color with a big ol white head. Toasty grain aroma. Decent but nothing to send home mama.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz. bottle via trade - Bottle is a few months past it’s "Best Buy Date." My bad for not drinking it sooner. Pours a clear golden color with a 2/3 finger thick white head dissipated slowly . Very light spotty lacing. Aroma is light malt and yeast. Flavor is herbal hops, esters, light yeast, and light malt. Light to medium body. Worth a try.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
This poured a hazy yellow color with a white head. The aroma contains some lemons and some herbal notes. The flavor is a bit sweet with some lemons and a hint of bread notes. The aftertaste has some sour I didn’t pick up initially. Overall this is a decent wheat beer.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Tasted at Sam’s. Should have been scared off by "American Wheat Ale" on the label. Is that really ever a good thing? Tastes like most of ’em, with a grainier than usual flavor. Bleh.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bottle. Another one pulled out of Blake’s cellar. Nice hoppy aroma with hints of citrus and slight banana. Flavor is more geared towards the wheaty fruity aspect but it’s still pretty good.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz bottle. Pours a pale gold with white head. The aroma is a tad zesty with some grainy notes that remind me very much of whole wheat dinner rolls and even a slight meatiness. The flavor is a little blander than I would expect from Sweetwater, but is solid nonetheless. Mostly it’s a grainy wheat character, but with little bits of citrus mixed in. There is a very, very mild planty hop character in the finish. Decent, but a little bit timid.
