Pale yellow with a light white head. Aroma is very minor, maybe a little wheat. Flavor is mild, some light citrus. Overall, not too much to it, but a pleasant summer beer.

12 oz bottle. Pours a pale gold with white head. The aroma is a tad zesty with some grainy notes that remind me very much of whole wheat dinner rolls and even a slight meatiness. The flavor is a little blander than I would expect from Sweetwater, but is solid nonetheless. Mostly it’s a grainy wheat character, but with little bits of citrus mixed in. There is a very, very mild planty hop character in the finish. Decent, but a little bit timid.

bottle pours hazy light yellow with a medium bright white head. Aroma is strong citrus, orange juice, peel, and hops, some floral honeysuckle notes as well. Lighter bodied, strong cracked wheat and whole grain cereal notes with a light finish of mild floral bitterness and a thin peppery touch. Not bad, not incredible.

12 oz. Fuzzy, straw-tinted with a thin film of foam. Sour citrus, wheat and bread yeast aromas. Same mix of flavors with a light touch of honey and a finish of resiny hop. Light body is well-balanced and refreshing. The American Wheat Ale is overall a terrible beer category, but this one isn’t bad.

Clear golden blond coloured, small white head and very little carbonation. Very special fruity (peachy) light hoppy sweet aroma. Medium palate. Finish is sweet fruity with a little bitter and dry finish. Very special.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a pale gold with a thin off-white head and no lacing. The aroma is hay, lemons, orange peels, coriander and caramel. The flavor is sweet, with a hint of bitterness in the finish. The palate is light to medium, effervescent and a little sticky. This is a fair wheat beer, refreshing and drinkable, but not very flavorful or interesting.

12oz bottle courtesy FSUScott. Pours a cloudy yellow... super yellow. The aroma is cream and soft wheat. The flavor is soft wheat, cream, paper, and citrus... with a touch of hop bitterness. A somewhat odd combination, honestly.

Bottle best before August 2, 2010. The more exciting thing about buying this Tackle Box is that I get some seriously fresh Sweetwater IPA. But, all in all this American styled wheat beer isn’t all that bad for a style I usually don’t like. The typical flavors of wheat and toned down fruity notes are here with very light citrus, but everything is really clean and balanced. It’s a light bodied, mild wheat ale to quench the summer thirst and is serviceable as such. But as with other American-style wheats, this lacks the strong esters or citrusy punch that a good German or Belgian wheat may have.

Hazy golden with a lasting white ring. Aromas of citrus, some hops, and dog. Flavor is pale wheat and a hint of citrus. Finish is fading, watery, but clean.
