JamesD (156), Centreville, Virginia, USA May 11, 2008 This is a pretty decent, smooth stout, with a very obvious addition of coffee. Other than that it has a chocolatey flavor and a very smooth, creamy palate. This is a pretty good coffee beer and I usually don’t enjoy them.
Aurelius (2469), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Sep 20, 2007 Dark, but clear porter brown, thin tan head. Nice roasty aroma with coffee. One-dimensional coffee flavor. Thin body. Clingy black coffee finish. Almost a mild. kp (6200), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Date: 07/16/2006

Norton (288), The Fan, Richmond, Virginia, USA Jul 28, 2007 Draft. Hmmm. Visible bubbles and crackly foam - not what I expect from a so-called stout. Also, this was served as cold as you expect a regular pilsener to be. C’mon, Sweetwater - KNOW YOUR BREW! Tan head, but with large-bubbled foam that dissapears relativeIy fast. Far too thin of a mouthfeel to be a true stout. Waited awhile until the beer warmed to get a good grasp on it. Obvious but mild coffee aftertaste hits back of tongue. OK effort, and not bad to drink. I just think this brew could stand some improvement. Ungstrup (11137), Frederiksberg, Denmark Dec 14, 2006 A dark red-brown beer with a dense orange head, that leaves some lazing on the glass. The aroma is sweet with lots of chocolate, and lighter notes of roasted malt. The flavor is of coffee, vanilla and lightly of chocolate - reminds me of a speciality coffe roast.
