Draft @ Merrifield. Chill hazed golden straw colored body with a white head. Nose of sharp pine cone hops, lemon zest and dry cracker pils malt. Flavor is sharply bitter but not pungent or dank at all, more like a sharp ESB with C-note hops. Medium body, very fresh, but with some malt-extract-like twang on the back. But otherwise fairly good and easy to drink, if a little simple overall.

Draft at Merrifield location. Not sure how the pour looked as it was brought to my table, but it still retained a small white head when it arrived at the table. Body was medium-dark yellow. Aroma was hoppy, with a notiable nose of citrus and a touch of yeast and a good helping of sweet malts. Pretty dang refreshing.

4 oz pour on draft at Sweetwater Merrifield. Clear pale golden yellow with off-white head. Aromas of corn, malt. Tastes of corn, wheat, malt. Light body with a dry and warm finish.

Medium clear gold. Off white thin head. Candied PA aroma. Medium to medium-heavy mouth. Smooth drinking, but unremarkable. Some citrus, some light caramel, a little underbittered. Orange peel finish.

On tap 6 oz. sampler at Sweetwater Tavern in Centreville, VA. Clear, golden yellow with a fine off-white head and very good lacing. Aroma of caramel, citrus and pine. Taste of bitter citric hops, floral hops, pine and caramel. Medium/full body and medium/high carbonation. This year's version is a dramatic improvement over the last version (2010) I tasted. This has better lacing, more hop intensity and a better mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a golden / amber color with a small head. Notes of earthy and citrus hops with a decent malt backbone. Lacking depth of flavor the structure is good.

(N.B. the recipe appears to have been reformulated as this beer was described as hoppy and it was)
Golden-amber with a decent white head. The aroma is nice, good bit of fruity hops. The flavor is ok but falls a bit flat. Light bodied. An ok hot weather quaffer.

On tap at Sterling. Pours clear golden with a white head. Very subtle aroma, slightly floral. Flavor of pale malt, light grapefruit and a moderate cascade hop presence. Nice creamy, medium body with lively carbonation. Drinkable but kind of boring.

advertised as the "lightest ale." described by the bartender as fluffy. Think a micobrew version of keystone...eck

Draft at brewery. Orangish gold color, very slightly hazy. Tiny white head. Pleasing hoppy aroma. Really well balanced flavor of grapefruits, pine, cirtus, and sweet sugars. Tastes like a lot of small micros I’ve had out west, but truly unusual for a brewpub in Virginia. If I could buy this one in stores, you better believe I would.
