Served on draft at the Sterling location on 4/30/11. Pours a clear amber color with a large creamy tan head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of faint caramel malts and bitter hops in the finish. The taste is pale malts, corn, bitter grassy and minty hops. Thin bodied. Disappointing.

CaptainCougar (7132) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - MAY 2, 2007
On tap at the Sterling location on 1/21/07: Pours a transparent dark golden bronze with a thin, wispy-lacing white head. Aroma of sweet German malt with a touch of light fruity esters and graininess with some fresh noble hops. Body starts lightly sweet with some biting carbonation and a touch of earthy bitterness. A decent festbier.

hopscotch (9163) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JAN 24, 2007
Draft... Hazy yellow lager with a mid-sized, wispy, white head. Good retention. Smells like a pale lager in the BMC range with a generous dose of acetaldehyde. Malty, grainy flavor with notes of spent mash, moderate sweetness and a slight, herbal, hop bite. Medium-bodied with lively carbonation. Lengthy, moderately bitter, metallic finish.

Ungstrup (29334) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - DEC 14, 2006
A hazy amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is slightly yeasty combined with hints of hops. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel, but also with an odd note, that I can’t describe, and light notes of metal, before a dry slightly hoppy end sets in. The bitterness is OK.

BückDich (5464) - McCall, Idaho, USA - OCT 3, 2006
Draught at Brewpub - RBSG DC 06 Amber color, light blonde. Nice head and lacing. Nose is fresh and spicy with hops, nic. The flavor is moderately bitter with a creamy malty body. Finishes balanced, chewy, nice amount of hops for a large malty body.

MilkmanDan (1943) - Eagan, Minnesota, USA - AUG 18, 2005
Hazy deep orange, very nice thin, creamy head. Nose is light thanks to the STUPID CHILLED GLASS, but once it warmed up a bit some caramel wafted out. Decent flavor, clean and crisp, honey sweet with some caramel. Extremely hoppy for what is labeled a fest, but still rather good.

Clear amber body with off-white head. Aroma is medium sweet, earthy/grassy, some caramel, light lemon. Taste is medium sweet, earthy/grassy, caramel. Finishes with earthy, some lemon. Smooth light-medium body, light crispness, very drinkable. I like it, though I recognize it to be more bitter than the style calls for.
