Crystal clear straw body with white head. Aroma is medium sweet, grassy, some lemon, bread. Taste is medium sweet, grassy, some lemon, light bread. Medium bitterness that leaves a nice hoppy aftertaste. Clean light body with some crispness that is quite easy drinking. Paired well with the BBQ Pork sandwich.

Tap at Falls Church location. Pours clear straw gold with a medium, frothy and bubbly white head, medium retention with good to excellent lacing. Aroma is straw, cereal, and husky malt with spicy and herbal hops, corn notes, and a clean lager character. Flavor is crisp and hoppy with malt support, some dry corn notes and a dry finish. Light body and warmth, moderate carbonation.

Sampled at RBSG Grand Rapids. Deep golden pour. Bright fresh saaz hop aroma. Crisp and clean with a bit of very chewy fresh aroma. Softly fruity and herbal. Dry but bright. The malts are a little it crackery. Light-bodied (but after that last one what wouldn’t be). The flavour doesn’t quite match the aroma, but it’s pretty nice stuff nonetheless.

Growler thanks to EricE at Shenandoah Throwdown. Pours a crystal clear, bright yellow with a small, bubbly, white head. Nose is massive black peppercorn. Taste is quenching with black peppercorn explosion. Clean palate. No soap, no diacetyl. Finish is mildly lactic and fatty sourdough. Refreshing.

UPDATED: DEC 21, 2011 Draft @ Merrifield. Clear striking yellow with a firm ½ inch white head. Hugely grassy, hoppy, dry, IPA-ish hop usage in the nose, but with such an amazingly clean, yeasty, delicate funk as well. Again, IPA-level bitterness, with dried hop cones, dried weed, dried grass clippings, along with a huge yeast character – pillowy, starchy, dry, musky bread and fluffy whipped cream. An amazingly delicious and clean beer, one of the best overly hoppy pils I’ve had.

Sampled thanks to Ryan at the 2010 RBSG Grand Tasting. Poured a clear gold with a thin white head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma was a bit of pine and grass hops with some caramel and grain notes. Flavor balanced perfectly with some pine hops in the start which became grassy and melded nicely with the light caramel and grain notes.

Growler at the Grand Tasting during RBSG. Pours a clear yellow gold. Hay and big crisp lemon and grain. Crisp grain, lightly sweet. Long slow grain finish. Well done, just not for me.

At the Sweetwater Tavern, Sterling, VA 21/9/2014. Pale lager with a touch of grassy hop, some fruitiness and a decent, bitter finish. Fine.

Fresh growler courtesy of kmweaver. Pours a brilliant gold with a nice white head. Smells of light lemons, perfume, straw, hay, dry malt, hints of sweetness. Tastes subtly dry with a dominant bitterness. Lots of biscuits and earthiness as the beer settles out. Mouthfeel is crisp. Some hints of fruit on the finish. Excellent!
