Beginning almost a decade ago we began working with Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper to help them in their mission of protecting the river which provides clean water for millions of folks in the southeast (quite possibly you and definitely the brewery!) What began as donating cases of Sweetwater for fundraisers and post river clean refreshments turned into the Save the Hooch Campaign, raising over $250,000 to date for UCR’s mission. The success of the campaign has spread throughout the southeast to other local communities and their local Waterkeepers. Waterkeeper Hefeweizen continues our mission to raise aware

Sweetwater Waterkeeper Hefeweizen has a thin, white head (small shelf glass), a very hazy (powdery sediment suspended throughout), yellow-gold appearance, bubble streams, and a small amount of lacing left behind on the glass. The aroma is of spiced white bread, coriander, and a touch of lemon peel. Taste is of those elements, with some banana pudding, orange chutney, a shade of hop bitterness, and white pepper. Mouthfeel is medium and fluffy, and Sweetwater Waterkeeper finishes dry, easy going, and refreshing. RJT

Aroma is wheat, lightly clovey, and an herbal, floral hop character. Flavor is about the same. Fairly typical with more o assertive hops. Hazy orange yellow pour. Pretty nice.

Not usually a wheatbeer/hefeweizen drinker. But this is a decent one, heck its from Sweetwater. Got it on tap with a slice of lemon. Excellent carbonation. Great summer brew for our hot summers here in Florida.

Sweetwater Waterkeeper is a close resemblance to the German originals. Banana and clove in the nose. Pour is hazy but still translucent. Nice head. Taste is big on the banana followed by some cloves. Finish is banana breath. Waterkeeper is a refreshing Summer brew made in the USA.

Crisp clean light biscuits sweetness with good clove and bananas presence, basically to style with light hints of hoppiness in a mildly bitter finish. Very good American interpretation.

Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle, best by August 24, 2014, poured into a weizen glass. Pours very slightly hazy (almost clear) with small white head. Aroma is light clove, medium/light body, medium/low carbonation, and some medium bubble lacing. Taste is estery malt, some clove, and hints of banana. Hoped for more flavor.

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. The aroma is a traditional banana, clove, and wheat combination. It has a big, white, fluffy head which reduces to a thick soapy ring with good surface coverage on top of a cloudy gold (with hints of brown) body. A messy lace is left behind. The taste is a medium sweet with a medium light bitter. The light body beer has a thin texture and a creamy carbonation. It finishes with banana, clove, and grain. It’s crisp with an aftertaste that has notes of banana and lemon, with a light clove and bread flavor.

Clear golden body with a white head & great lacing. Wheat, clove & spicy aromas. Bread and wheat flavors end w/ a peppery finish. Refreshing
