3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
An aggressive American style hefe. Very phenolic, tending more to clove than banana, but elements of both. Carbonation strong, fizzy, carbonic bite.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a big foamy off-white head. Nice head retention. Aroma is of wheat, banana, spice, and clove. Smells good. Taste is of wheat, spice, and clove. Very big banana taste as well. Has a very dry, bready malt backbone. Lingering banana and spice characters. Slight alcohol taste underlying. Mouthfeel is very carbonation, and slightly soapy. Body is light, but not watery. Drinks real easy, but nothing amazing. It’s not bad, though.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sampled on draft this beer poured a slightly hazy yellow-gold color with a small foamy white head that faded and left minimal lacing. The aroma was bready, yeasty, citrus and clove. The flavor was very bready, tangy, sweet orange and hints of peach and clove. Long finish with a touch of bubblegum. Medium body. Solid.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz bottle. 8/23/15 code date. Appearance: Golden and nearly clear, with a quickly dissipating foam cap. No apparent yeast left in the bottle.
Aroma: Apple and pear esters dominate, more typical of Belgian yeast than German. Typical banana and clove is missing.
Taste: Sweet, spicy Apple and pear esters abound. Bitterness only enough to offset the sweetness
Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with only the slightest creaminess. Carbonation is low for the style.
Finish: Lingering pear and spice, with a hint of graininess on the tongue.
Overall: Decent beer, but kisses them ark for what I’d expect from a hefe. No yeast present in bottle, low carbonation, and yeast character skews more Belgian than German

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
bottle that pours a medium yellow with white head and no lacing...the aroma a nice wheat blend with spices. medium carbonation and medium on the flavor as well. just kind of misses the mark for a true hefe but not really complaining it flavorful, its got a nice little bite on the end. overall its very drinkable and has a good flavor.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured from a 12 oz bottle poured into pint glass.
This beer has a nice golden color with a medium sized white head.
The aroma is of wheat and malt with little to no hop or yeast backing
The flavor is of semi-sweet wheat.
The palate is medium bodied with moderate carbonation with a slightly oily texture
Overall- An average hefeweizen, I find most Sweetwater brews over-rated.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz bottle, from Dutch’s. Best if enjoyed by 8/27/15. Kind of hazy golden color. Thin white head. Leaves decent, somewhat loose ropes of lace. Decent banana, bready wheat aroma. Light spice. Moderate-plus sweet taste. Light to moderate bitter, some mild dryness. Lightly slick. Kind of crisp, somewhat sharp light to moderate carbonation. Decent hefeweizen. Not exemplary; it’s no Weihenstephaner. But solid flavor, and reasonably easy-drinking.
