COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Five different malts, select hop varities, and our own specially cultivated yeast create an ale which leads with hop flavors and a subtle impression of fruit (our yeasts contribution), followed by a palate pleasing malty finish.

Haven’t had many English-style pale ales before, so difficult for me to truly judge. Nice cloudy pour. Flavor is malty all the way, with a decided and lingering sweetness that I’m having trouble putting my finger on -- almost bready. I’d be interested in trying this again after having more of the style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nice appearance. 1 finger fluffy head, amber hues. nose smells very much to the style, nice malt nose. Very weak taste, overall chewy, unpalatable very hard to finish more than a glass.

Somehow this passes for beer in Vermont. It’s sweet swill and often offered for $2 pours on Tuesdays. Not bad if you’re already loaded on Heady Toppers and looking to push the pedal to the night’s metal. But I avoid it.

In an emergency ( only 2$ pint available) it is drinkable. Not great at all. This beer can give me a hangover after three. I avoid it when I’m smart. Have one to make another beer taste better. Sorry switchback, keep trying.

2013-04-27. Hazy orange body, nice creamy white Head and lace. Aroma is mild, lightly doughy and floral, 6+ Flavour is odd, earthy touches to the hops, mild bitterness, odd citrus and melon fruit character. 6+ Average bodied palate. Not to my taste. Note quite sure what is going on here. On tap at Reservoir, Waterbury.

22oz bomber. Pours a hazy amber color with a nice white head and decent lacing. Aroma of mild malt, grass, and a minimal amount of hop presence. Taste is malty, light citrus, pine, slight grassy and herbal flavors, with a decent bitter finish.

Pours a red/amber and has a one finger white foamy head, a decent amount of quickly sliding lacing, the smell has a malty sort of fruitiness with subdued hops in the background, the taste is semi-sweet with the hops coming through to balance, palate is light with a sweet malty finish, dry aftertaste, fairly sessionable; overall, this is good for the style and good for me.

Really nice. Odd. Pours a cloudy orange yellow. Nice head. Fruity aroma. On the tongue is more fruit. Some hops. Nice long pleasant finish. Recommended. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sampled at the brewery. Pours a hazy orange with some fluffy white head. I smelled it and said, "oh, an English Pale." The woman working there corrected me and said, "We think it’s more of an amber." Nose of citrus rind, malt, crackers, yeast. Flavor was similar, lightly bitter, light lemon, malt, biscuit, yeast. Dry finish. Very run of the mill.

A very basic one here. Pleasant malt, subtle yeast, vry drinkable, not the worst.
