Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of Storm. 5.8% in my version. Pours black with an orange hue and a creamy beige head. Sweetish hard roasted malt in the nose. Medium-bodied, soft mouthfeel, sweet hard roast malt, chocolate and vanilla. Some malt bitterness. Decent. 191111

UPDATED: JAN 30, 2007 Bottled, thanks Lilith, Nigredo & Panzerfaust! Opaque black, minimal brown head. Evident aroma of coffee and roasty malt. Dryish and firm with rounded mouthfeel. There’s grapefruity hops coming through the coffee and licorice. Tarry bitter finish. A very solid, powerful and straight forward hoppy stout.

Bottle, 5%. Fruity aroma, a bit of roasted tar. Almost black colour, clear red shine. Small tan head. The flavour is nicely roasted, good coffee note, slightly acidic to balance. Good for ABV.

Darkish brown. Very thick head - too much, really. The aroma has some tartness, which is unfortunate. Mostly chocolate, but again with a little tartness.

Pours deep brown with a head that is initially quite soda-pop fizzy. When the entire bottle is poured, a 1cm thick, creamy, off-white head settles. Aroma has sweetness, milky chocolate, mild roasted. Quite elegant and lovely. Medium carbonation, light but really nice creamy texture. Flavour continues the nice chocolate notes, stays milky. Light coffee. Adds some roasted notes and a little grassy hops that both balance with some fair bitterness. Long aftertaste. Lovely, but should rightly be a sweet stout, methinks.
