pale yellow with a slight haze, wispy white head, sweet raspberry aroma, nice light raspberry flavor on a bland base, no exciting but also not overdone on the raspberry or sweetness making it a good example of this brewpub staple

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
[Sept 29, 2010]
Pint at the brewpub in Charleston. Pours a very cloudy yellowish with a small head. Thank goodness itís not stark red. The aroma is wheaty with a tasteful addition of raspberry. The flavor is of crackers, grain and a pretty decent raspberry thing going on. This is not supersweet, just about right for what it is. Of course what it is is still a raspberry wheat beer. . .

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
(Old BA rate - tap)
Lightly hazy yellowish hue; poured with little to no head at all. Pretty muted, but with a touch of tart fruitiness and a bit yeasty. Fruity raspberriness; little bit dry and tart; sweeter and bready finish. Pretty thin, but not bad prickly carbonation to liven it up. Decent, but not great for me. Just a bit too much on the yeasty which masked the decent tartness of the brew

On draft in Barefoot location. So so appearance. Lots of raspberry, some wheat, American style. Nothing special.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Draught. Pours hazy pale yellow with a small fizzy white head. The aroma is faintly grainy and a little bit fruity. The flavor is a very distinct artificial-seeming raspberry over a very earthy, grainy malt. It dries out slightly toward the finish and becomes a little bit chalky.

1.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
Draught sample at the Mount Pleasant, SC location. Faintly hazy, yellow (no pink in this one surprisingly), no head, bubbly-fizzy.....light sweet raspberry cookie-vanilla wafer aroma with little to no hints of sour wheat, or any malt or hop character for that matter....very bland and sour body, overattenuated and extremely thin, dry and mineralic, with a weird aloe/soapy tang at the finish. No sir, I wonít have another.
