3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a hazy deep golden with a big tight white head that leaves a little lace but both the head and lace fade after a bit. The aroma is raw pale malt with some orange-peel fruitiness, some clove spiciness and a bit of mild alcohol. The flavor is malty and spicy all around with a bit of orange and an intense peppery character. There is a really pronounced hop presence here and I know this bottle has been sitting in my cellar for almost a year, who knows how long it had been around the store before that, Iím impressed with the retention of the hops here, they seem really fresh. I bet this beer is absolutely stunning when fresh. The beer is fruity and seems sweet up front but the bitterness, the spicy alcohol bit, and the dry finish balance it off nicely. A distinct wild honey character develops as it warms. The palate is sharp and very nicely carbonated without being overly fizzy. Pretty nice beer.

Warning! Early amateur rating! Feels like a thick wheat beer. Dominated by a sour wheaty malt. No fruit or bitterness. One dimensional.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Murky yellow with thin white head. Aroma was yeasty, some fruit. Flavour was a little spicy, Belgian yeast, some toffee. A fairly average beer, bit thin and didnít hit the highnotes. One of those, happy to drink it but just didnít excite me.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Orange colored with hazy appearance. Little yellow head. Peachy and hopped, slightly citrusy aroma, even some sweet vanilla comes up. Medium bodied, smooth palate. Flavor has same sweet fruity-vanilla start, some herbal hop tone also here. Some safty note in aftertaste, still hops dominate.
