3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cloudy yellow pour, with an off white head. Sweet and fruity, fig, orange, sugary, light herbal hops, and cookie dough malt. A nice sweet desert beer, not bad for a tripel, which I normally donít appreciate much.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Bright orangey beer with a strong but soon disappearing head. The aroma is lightly fruity and spiced, and the flavour is fruity and mildly yeasty with a sweetish lightly bitter and spiced finish. Overall a nice fruity and spiced beer.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Rated on 02-20-2010 (Flip-top bottle) This beer forms a small fizzy off-white head that mostly diminishes, hazy amber body, visible carbonation, and floaties. The Aroma is caramel malt, hops, sweet, some clove, fruity, and some alcohol. The Taste is sweet, lightly bitter, caramel malt, fruity, hoppy, and some alcohol. The Palate is very smooth and this beer is light-medium bodied. Overall, this is one of my favorite beer styles, but it fell short in the flavor as the flavors just did not seem to come together very well. This beer is not one that I will seek out again.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Swing top bottle purchased at Spirits Point Beach. Poured a deep orangey that was slightly hazy with smaller bubly white heads. Aroma is swet, sugary, green apples, dough, yeast and fruity. The flavor is drier then the aroma and just rather dry for a tripel, however there is a short lived midway burst of sweetness, along with dough, yeast and apple. Thin almost watery body with soft carbonation and a sweet aftertaste. Meh drinkable but not good for a great style.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle bought and consumed at the Foreign Bar, Bedford BF ’08. Amber with a huge white head. Slightly salty fishy aroma with chalky spices. Sweet. leathery musty taste with lingering bitterness. Too fizzy. This isn’t going to be a favourite of mine. Eaten with a damn good bacon and brie baguette.

Bottle. ZBF 2008.
Dark golden colour. Good pale malty aroma with freshness. Fresh pale malty flavour with bit acidity. Lacking in heavy maltiness, still tasty!

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
33 cl. bottle @ Delirium Cave, served @ cellar temperature. The bottle was clearly severely aged but no clear indication as to from which year this might be on the label. The label fell off from the bottle due the fact that age had dissolved the glue & the paper was noticeably discolored from age. Lots of sediment in the bottle as well. The beer itself had evolved far beyond the point where you could even estimate what the original style or flavours might have been. Poured a very murky, opaque reddish amber with lots of yeast in it with a solid but small off-white head. Smell carried a light but not overt lactic sourness, slightly infection-like, moldy, heavy on old yeast, yogurt touch, slightly earthy & very old + very soft fruits. Taste is lactic sweet with some yogurt, heavy on old yeast, lightly moldy & earthly with sticky herbs, light infection, moldy bread, touch fruit, sweet malts in the back & some sweet chocolate. Added chocolate & malts, eventually actually got me into this beer. Carbonation is lightly lively but clearly muted with quite a hazy body.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
23rd Sep 2013: 33cl bottle in De Bierboom, Brugge.
Poured a golden hazy colour on first pour, the sediment came out with a vengeance as I emptied the remainder into my glass, turning the glass a more orange hue with a few heavy hunks sinking to the base. The white head gave some lacing and hung around for the whole beer.
The taste and nose were both fruity and yeasty, the fruits leaning towards semi-sour citrus, but not quite getting there.
I thought it different and tasty, a nice mix of flavours and overall a pleasant enough beer to sip while talking about beers with friends.
