Bottle Hazy amber to brown body. Lightly brown, creamy head. Complex aroma, mainly of caramel with hints of grapes, wood, acid, ... Very well balanced aroma. Moderately bitter, moderately sweet flavour with a soury note. Again a good balance and complexity with a nicely warm mouthfeel. Great beer. Bit rochefort-like: a strong focus on caramel.

Swaroga (792) - Brussels, BELGIUM - SEP 8, 2012
75cl bottle. Brown and hazy, big tanned head. Nose : Cheese, caramel, toffee, dairy, red fruits. Sip : decent carbonation, medium body, oily texture. Sweet with distinctive flavors of toffee, cherry, tart. Alcohol is well hidden but it comes back warming in the aftertaste. The flavor of this beer lasts long and it is mostly sweet, slightly sour. Really sweet and candy like but well balanced and delicious way to accompany cakes and maybe some wild meat. Nice.

Amber colored slightly hazy beer. Low carbonation. Small off white head. Very herbal aroma. Aniseed is noticeble. Reminds me of Ricard. Complex flavor. Starts a bit sweet, heavy bodied, avery light acidity with a herbal and medium bitter end. The alcohol is very well hidden for a 11 vol. alc.

Bottle as Hof Korvatunturi Old Ale, sampled@RBNAG 2009, Vatlandsvåg. Hazy orange body with a thin beige head. Fruity aroma of peaches, oranges and yeast. Flavor is fruity oranges and, herbal tea. Sweet and bitter in harmony, a bit unusually, but enjoyable.
