4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Aroma of roasty, chocolate, with a hint of fruity ester. Pours a gorgeous thick head with a boatload of lacing, color appears as a sort of dark dark black red. Taste is very malt forward - roasty and toasty with perhaps a hint of belgian yeast but less than expected. Palate is thick and coating but finishes dry. Very good stout but less Belgian-y than expected.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from state line liquors - pours pitch with 2 fingers of milk chocolate foam. Aroma is chocolate with some smokey notes. Taste is bittersweet leans sweet, with some mild hop notes. Has a Belgian ale feeling to it which is weird. Overall, very interesting.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Dark brown with a huge foamy khaki head. Aroma of cocoa, musty basement, mineral and roast. Flavor is bitter chocolate, sweet malt and some light astringency. Medium body with explosive carbonation. Not a bad beer, once I swirled the excessive carbonation out of it things got better.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
33cl bottle. Dark brown, canít see through liquid with big lightly tanned head. Nose : smoked, burned malts. Yeast, Black chocolate. Leather, dairy, Sip : Low to medium carbonation , medium body with oily texture. Sweet with strong smoked and burned notes. A bit sour on the end, like a weak coffee. Aftertaste can develop a nice aromatic hop notes : pine and grapefruit. Quite well balanced and interesting smoked flavor into the chocolate. Nice stuff.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Extreme gusher, which became clear as soon as I opened the bottle yet I still lost quite a bit while the foam kept rising for 2 minutes, filling pretty much 80% of the bottleÖ and itís been like that for all the bottles I had so far, even from different batches so be warned!
Black brew with beige/brown foam.
The nose is strongly sweet caramel and all the characteristics of a stout; some sourness as well as a roasted yet not burnt smell.
Bitter, sour and roasted taste, bordering on earthy and smok; no sweetness at all; pretty strong taste for just a 5.5% beer. The aftertaste is mostly roasted, almost burnt, a tad bitter and smoked. Not as strong as the taste since the sourness doesnít remain; nonetheless itís a long lasting aftertaste that at times has almost a hint of sweetness which never materializes. There seems to be little carbonation though it may be masked by the initial taste.
For me, this is a solid stout with a much stronger taste than I would have expected of a 5.5% one, good stuff!

2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 9/20
330 ml bottle of which only half was left after having removed the cap... Too much fermented - pours deep reddish brown with huge, huge head... persisting throughout the whole time. Nose of choclate and roasted malts. Medium body but all the rest (palate, flavours...) are unnoticable due to way-over-the-edge carbonation.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
4/14/12. 11.2oz bottle. Black pour, maybe more of a really dark brown under the light, with an enormous, billowing, fluffy tan head that lasts forever and laces plenty. Roasted malts and chocolate on the aroma along with something that definitely reminds me of cooked corn. Roasted malts and chocolate on the flavor as well with a big metallic tinge and a hint of tartness. Very thin and light bodied with a ton of carbonation. Eh.
