Bottled at GBBF 2007. A black beer with a brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of chocolate and roasted malt, and so is the flavor, while the mouthfeel is very smooth.

A black colored beer with a smal beige foamy head. There are aromas of roasted chocolate and some coffee. A little sweet. A bitter taste and again a little sweet, also malty and a dry taste. Good stout.

(33cl bottle) Almost black coloured hue with a big and dense brown foamy head. Sweet and fruity nose with blueberries, caramel and floral notes on a light toast-malty background. Bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Good dark malty base with yeasty-fruity notes and burnt grains; dry, bitter-sweet finish with caramel and liquorice. Pleasant.

Bottle at Pig’s Ear BF 08. Lovely dark beer. Good malts, nice choc. Bit of plastic. Seriously decent stout. Wouldn’t pick it as a Belgian beer.

Bottle. Almost black. Malt, licorice, brown sugar and apple in the aroma. Sweet flavor with licorice and some roasted malt, lingering on in the aftertaste. Thin. Not unpleasant.

Bottle, bought @ Willems, Grobbendonk. Pours a very deep mahogany, bordering on black. Fine, sticky and creamy beige head on top. Aroma is quite burnt with a slight tart fruitiness to it. Relatively low carbonation and not that thick. Flavour is very roasted and dry, with cocoa and slight liqourice. Is really a pleasant beer to drink depite it’s powerful roastiness.
