4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
First smell clear tropical fruits. First taste: smooth, tropical fruits, refreshing. You wonder if it really is 9 percent. The bitter is very balanced. It also has that typical ij aftertaste. For a double ipa incredibly smooth. Not a long aftertaste, but after every sip you come back for more.

Floral, hoppy, aftertaste is creamy and sweet, I really like the interesting mic of aromas that this IPA has. Definitely a very special beer.

From tap at De Paas. Yum yum yum. Deep hops to drown in with sweets and caramel around it. Sticky ticky. Backlog from 2014/04/29.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Beautiful red-amber color with foamy head. Aroma offers orange, mango, pineapple, peaches and a hint of herbs. Mouthfeel is resin and slightly alcoholic. First sip is a surprising combination of all these sensations with light malty bread, toffee, and a citrus and herbal hops bitterness. Dry, citric and long finish. Loved this double IPA.

Brouwerij 'TIJ & De Molen Double IPA 9% bottle from World Beer Market.
I've been meaning to try this for awhile. Like the Sankt Gallen Hop Relax it is darker than your typical IPA but I guess as a W-IPA it is well within the styles spectrum. A beige head shelters a fruity malt rich hop aroma. Wow it's got a full lusciously smooth body. The taste is grape, citrus and hops with sweetly medicinal alcohol heat. It's somewhat US barleywine like but mellowed with age. Quite good.

I’m really starting to like De Molen. The beer’s got a astrong hop aroma. The color is dark orange and the head looks nice. The bitternes is heavy and the finish is bitter and long.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
IPA’s are in fashion these days, they appear everywhere. This speciment is a bit of a disappointment for me. It lacks in character with respect of others I have tasted.
A big plus is the appearence, which is nicely orange with a good head, the way an IPA should be. The taste is although nice fruity a bit empty in the aftertaste. An easy drinking beer, but there are betters in the same class.
