Together with chefs Onno Kokmeijer and Arjan Speelman of the Michelin-starred restaurant Ciel Bleu we created this highly tasty I.P.A. The dry-hop with Waimea and Citra hops gives the beer a floral, bitter character and the addition of kaffir lime provides a tropical touch. Completed by a deep golden color, the Ciel Bleu I.P.A. is an irresistable beer. Ciel Bleu I.P.A. is on the menu of restaurant Ciel Bleu and is limited available in our pub.

tap at the brewery - Pours hazy copper colored with a lingering, off-white head. It smells of citrus and pine accented hops. The flavor features big hop bitterness with citrus and resin notes. Medium bodied. Very tasty.

Heel fruitig, sinaasappelschil, limoen. Hop geeft beetje basilicum/mint-achtige kruidige zweem. Strak bittertje ook. Backlog from 2015/06/20.

0.33 l bottle from ’Drankenservice Françoise’, best before December 2015. Clear, golden amber with a medium large, foamy, stable, tan head. Sweetish, fruity-grassy and slightly soapy aroma of lemon peel, pineapple and lime. Sweetish, fruity-grassy taste of lemon peel, lime, pineapple and hints of honey, followed by a medium long, rather bitter, slightly soapy finish. Medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Rather fruity, refreshing and solid IPA and still quite fresh although surely past its prime.

At a tasting, small stable bubblt head, hazy palish orange color, aroma of shrubs and citrus with honey wax and pencil sharpnings, biscuity malty flavor some fruitiness and a lightish shrubby bitterness. Drinkable but a little strange and not completly fresh.

(Draught at Craft & Draft, Amsterdam, 29 Aug 2015) Amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, toast and hints of burnt rubber. Malty, fruity taste with citrus, rye bread, orange peel, resin and a generous citric, resiny bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and well balanced IPA. Nice one.

330ml bottle. Barely clear amber colour with average, thick, frothy, fairly lasting and lacing, white head. Herbal hoppy aroma, hints of lemongrass. Taste is dry, bitter hoppy, minimally citrusy, peppery herbal spicy, hints of lime, old peppermint, balm. Doesn’t work for me.

Bottle Gouda beer shop. Slightly cloudy amber gold with a slow diminishing white head. Not the the most pronounced aroma with hints of burnt orange and bitter hops. Strong bitter citra flavours with grapefruit and under ripe pineapple. Couldn’t pick out the kaffir lime although there is a distinct bitterness which is tij .

On tap at craft & draft, Amsterdam. Sweet and zesty citrus and pineapple aroma, with pilsner malt and light celery. Slightly hazy bronze under a persistent white flannel blanket and lace. Sweet start with pilsner malt, quickly leading to zesty citrus and tropical hops and then a dry, woody bitterness and finish. Sort of Belgian fermentation, but without the peppery phenolics or esters. Medium light body, high carbonation, crisp.u
