COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Together with chefs Onno Kokmeijer and Arjan Speelman of the Michelin-starred restaurant Ciel Bleu we created this highly tasty I.P.A. The dry-hop with Waimea and Citra hops gives the beer a floral, bitter character and the addition of kaffir lime provides a tropical touch. Completed by a deep golden color, the Ciel Bleu I.P.A. is an irresistable beer. Ciel Bleu I.P.A. is on the menu of restaurant Ciel Bleu and is limited available in our pub.

Aroma of grapefruit, citrus, floral notes, some yeast, pine, perfumed notes, hops. Flavour is moderate sweet with a bitter finish. Bit sweetish and yeasty IPA, forestry aroma. Iím betting itís the Waimea?

33cl bottle at home from Bertís Bierhuis Biltstraat, Utrecht. Body is clear golden orange, head is small, off-white, fizzy, fully diminishing, fair lacing. Nose is spicy, fruity, flavor is spices, quinine, herbs, fruits, pine, black tea. Light sweet, heavy bitter. Finish is long lasting hoppy quinine heavy bitter. Medium body, thin texture, average carbonation. Not too easy, strong unusual bitter flavor, interesting hoppy IPA.

Spicey lemongrass like hops, fresh chopped grass. Nice carbonation. Full bodied, sweet and hazy hop flavours, bread and roasted malts. Very well balanced with a great kick of hops!

This is a really good IPA. It has a great combination of hoppy bitter and a very nice lively fruity aroma. Love it!

UPDATED: APR 25, 2015 33cl bottle Appearance: Orange slightly hazy with a smal offfwhite head. Aroma: Some hoppy bitterness for the 2015 version (No longer the lime, and floral touches. No itís now a murky bitterness) Taste: The new 201 version has just some murky hoppy bitternesss and some light koriander in the finish. Long lasting bitterness. However the original had a very nice complexity fruity floral, lime twist. Which is now totally ruined. oily texture, Medium body, soft carbonation.. The current 2015 is really dissapointing a mediocre IPA. What was once on my favourite IPAís.. After this mess I opened up a old one, still have some stock and while beyond itís best before date it tastes so much better. So why is Brouwerij TíIJ screwing over their IPAís, they used to be so good but both new batches were bad this evening. 2014-8-4-9-4-19 2015 6-3-6-3-11

Bottle thanx to dutchdrebus. Orange but not clear and a offwhite head. Smells and tastes hoppy, fresh, fruity. Nice.
