Bottle at The Rake, London. Hazy, orangey amberwith a huge head. Fruity, leathery Orval-like Brettanomyces aroma. sweet, yet bitter, very Orval-like, only with warming alcohol. Dry finish. Full-bodied, good carbonation. One of the greatest Dutch beers around.

Bottle. Huge foamy light tanned head. Color is slight hazy orange/golden. Sweet and fruity aroma with notes of fresh hops. A remarkable tart taste along with malt sweetness, spices, oranges and some yeast. Well hopped and well balanced. Long dry finish. Very nice!

Botlle from DA. Medium golden color with a slight haze. Aroma is deep and yeasty. Booze hidden well. Tasty, yeasty flavors. Bits of funk.

33cl bottle purchased on the advice of beastiefan2k Dark orange/light brown beer. Thin white head. Aroma is very sweet and malty. Sweet plumy aroma, some rummy raisiny notes as well. Spicy yeast and some soft wheaty pepper. Clove and cardamon aromaa. Flavour is good, nice sweet maltiness up front with clove and a bit of dustiness apparent as well. Soft but full texture. Very plummy and rummy. Light herbal flavour toward the finish with low to moderate bitterness. Tasty brew especially considering the bottle was only two bucks. Thanks for the heads up Eugene!

9% on label. Poured a hazy light amber color with a medium off white head. Aroma of toffee, spice, light sugar notes and hints of leather. There even seems to be a little mint in there. Light tartness on the fruity flavor. Mild spice on the back of the tongue.

9%, not 6.5%. Hazy yellowish orange, huge white head. Nose has a ton of yeast and some citrus. Didn’t quite taste like I expected, more a saison flavor, with the extra alcohol playing a supporting role. Nice texture (there almost had to be after pouring what seemed to be a ton of yeast into the glass!)

Bottle from Super Saver. This poured hazy orange with a 1-finger off-white head. Aroma of floral and spice, with some funky yeast notes, tart fruit notes, and a rather gueuzy smell after a few whiffs. The taste was spicy, citric and floral, with some funky peaty malt, cobwebby yeast, and tart fruit notes. Lots of sediment in this, which is a good thing.

The bottle i had was 9% not 6%. Very dry fruity spice aroma and finish. The dryness was amplified by the fig sweetness up front, peppery and earthy throughout. The dry dustiness kinda reminded me a bit of orval in mouthfeel. A kinda apricot/plum fruitiness warmed in the finish.
