Probiere (992), Iowa, USA Nov 28, 2005 Some phenols in nose, some...orange cream muffin, some...cranberry jelly, some...sourdough bread. Overall abit heavy on the alcohol taste and the flavors are not integrated. Not entirely unlike a syrup and alcohol-laced tea eaten with neutral-flavored crackers. Am setting a few of these by to age. I sense some potential. beerbuzzmontreal (2909), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Nov 9, 2005 Cloudy amber pour with a ring of white lace. Aroma of fruits and yeast. Flavor of fruits and yeast. The body is light with a powdery texture and strong carbonation. larsniclas (3383), Gothenburg, Sweden Nov 8, 2005 Botlled.
Hazy amber, small head.
Weak sourish aroma.
Very malty wig chocolate. Rather dry with warm alco-feel. Storm (2685), Amager, Denmark Nov 8, 2005 33 cl bottle. Yeast in bottom. Unclear amber colour with a nice lance head. Aroma of caramel with notes of toffee and sweet malt. Great flavour of malt with a spicy and alcoholic aftertaste. A very fullbody belgium style. rlgk (3377), Vårgårda, Sweden Nov 6, 2005 Hazy amber, nice offwhite head. Lots of yeast in the bottle. Nutty, malty aroma with fruity notes from figs and apples. Malty, quite strong flavor, nutty and fruity, and with a clear malty finish. rickgordon (3285), Göteborg, Sweden Nov 4, 2005 Bottle, sampled at The Rover, Göteborg.
Dark amber colour. Dark fruity malt nose. LIttle licoricy underneath, bit roasty. Big mouthfeel with notes of sweet almonds, plum and a very round mouthfeel. This is a dry beer, still with residual sugars. YogiBeera (2437), Hamburg, Germany Oct 29, 2005 Thank you so much Jorrit for presenting this beer to me. I had this beer many times at the brewery but never rated that - so this time bottled:. Huge frothy white head that lasts for eternally. Hazy dark orange color - nearly light brown. Yeast nose - like rye bread dough. Beautiful taste, kind of peppery first followed by caramel, yeast and chocolate, finishing dry and hoppy. NoiZe (1288), Mooi Zeist, Netherlands Sep 25, 2005 Cloudy amber coloured. Yeasty and bitter. Nice complex and unusual taste. Get some time to get used to it. Good one.
