COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An amber, craft beer with generous amounts of hops and alcohol. This copper-gold beer is a real heavyweight and a must for beer lovers. The liberal quantities of malt and bitter hops create a complex, full flavour. It starts as slightly sweet with malty aromas of chocolate, fruit and grain, while the bitter hops stand out nicely in the aftertaste. A feast for the connoisseur!

At ’t IJ, Amsterdam. Hazy brown, very creamy head. Pine and malty, bitter malty beer. Belgian year character, snappy. Sweet bitter finish. Solid.

Bottle shared by Marduk, thanks! BB 05.10.2016. Pours clear amber with a nice head. The aroma’s got a strange sweetness, not exactly relating this with Columbus. Tastes sweet, hoppy, yeasty, sugary. Pretty light on the palate, carbonation moderate. The alcohol shows. Not too bad though, would probably work better when fresh.

Een goudoranje en zacht bier. Behoorlijk zoet, met aroma van suiker, bloemen en fruit. Een beetje een allemansvriend, te zoet naar mijn smaak.

330ml bottle (Alus Tirgus, Bergi). Clear dark amber color. Medium size, yellow-beige head, stays. Malty, apples, jam, sweet, fruity in aroma. Sweet, metallic, Belgian yeast, herbal hops in taste. Sweet floury malts and fruity in aftertaste. Dry mouthfeel. Tries to cover alcohol with sugar, but doesn’t succeed. Boozy brew.

Light amber colour. Little froth. Hints of gooseberries and caramel in the aroma. Sweet, caramelly, corny beginning. Brown sugar, hints of berries. Alcoholy, bit bitter finish. Sweet aftertaste. Sweet and strange.

Bottle by Marduk. Almost clear amber pour, off-white head. Nose is sweet, malts, caramel, mashed potatoes. Flavor is belgian yeast, dried fruit, some candi sugar. Finishes with hop bitterness, one note stuff, just bitter. Some barley flour. Lingering booze. Weird one, boozy.

Bottle from Dirk 3 in Hardinxveld. The beer is dark amber colored and has a nice large and stable white head, with livingly CO2. The aroma is hoppy and malty and has some nice notes of fruits (strawberries, peaches and apple), but also hints of grains. The taste is full and sweet with notes of ripe fruits and changes into a strong malt taste with tones of Belgian yeast. Also clearly noticable is the alcohol, but luckily not too much. The finish is light bitter and hoppy, but also a little dry.

Ambar, mucho sedimento flotando, y escasa espuma. Feo aspecto. Aroma alcohólico. En boca, alcohol claro. Alcohol predominante. Malta y lúpulo más o menos en equilibrio, pero sobrepasados por el alcohol.
