Amber Body with Many Small Particles Floating Freely..and a Sandy Head Sprinkled with Nutmeg. Dry Fruit and Spice Aroma. Fruity, Prunes, Peppery...Medium Creamy Mouthfeel..with a Hot Black Pepper Aftertaste.. Very Drinkable. Recommend Not Looking Into the Glass to Increase Enjoyment.

Bottle. Semi-malty aroma. Muddy, dark yellow colour. Astringent, malty and moldy flavour with a little acidity. Bitterness is a little too harsh for me. Malty/sweet aftertaste.

This was art of a nice tasting set from Bierkoning in Amsterdam. A nice presentation in the glass (alas not a Trappist glass) with a rich amber colour and a creamy head. A good whiff of diacetyl here in a positive way with undertones of the type of mixed fruit you get in a Christmas pudding. Definite alcoholic mouthfeel and a good dry aftertaste.

Very dark gold in colour, with a long lasting creamy white head. Aroma of dark fruits, caramel and spices. Flavour has notes of prunes, caramel, raisins, chocolate and spices. Nice medium smooth mouthfeel. Good stuff.

bottle...I thought this was a lovely Brett beer...perfumey, fruity and funky...one of the best bottles I’ve had of it, and rivaling the fun of drinking it at the pub...this beer is back on my watch list now...but by nature, it can vary a good bit.
