Astringent, malty and moldy flavour with a little acidity. Bitterness is a little too harsh for me. Malty/sweet aftertaste. ThomasE (5178), Copenhagen, Denmark

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 23, 2005 This was art of a nice tasting set from Bierkoning in Amsterdam. A nice presentation in the glass (alas not a Trappist glass) with a rich amber colour and a creamy head. A good whiff of diacetyl here in a positive way with undertones of the type of mixed fruit you get in a Christmas pudding. Definite alcoholic mouthfeel and a good dry aftertaste.
