3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Bontus (481) - Waasmunster, BELGIUM - FEB 24, 2011
Bottle, Abio. Pours hazy orange, fast fading head. Coriander & bready nose. Slightly sourish taste. Very dry aftertaste, MF is also a bit empty, so I’m guessing a high attenuation. Noticed some ethylacetate in the aftertaste too.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 hughie (3992) - Bedford, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - FEB 22, 2011
Thanks to Fin for this bottle, consumed during the England v Netherlands Cricket World Cup match. Copper gold, slightly hazy, with a large and lasting white head. Complex and interesting aroma: champagne, yeast, herbal tea, a little fruit, a little sourness. Sweet oily taste with alcohol and something like dates. Mid bitter finish. Entertaining and surprisingly quaffable. Might have needed this to drown my sorrows in the light of events in Nagpur, but our lads sneaked home to victory.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 BlackEyePA (222) - USA - FEB 6, 2011
Its was pretty good. I didnt know what to expect but its style is a "Belgian strong" I got more of a Bio-Belgian Wit beer thing. I got a lot of yeast, wheat and spicy-fruit. Not really any hops. The color was nice. I didnt really love this beer, it was good, but I dont know about the style its categorized as, unless I got a weird one.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 rosenbergh (3145) - Helsinki, FINLAND - FEB 5, 2011
330 ml bottle. From bierzwerg.de.
Hazy amber colour with huge lasting off-white head and some sediment.
Aroma is sourness, yeast, red berries and fruits. Quite Lambic like aroma.
Flavour is Belgian yeast, some sweetness, some bitterness, warming alcohol and sour fruitiness. Warming and full. Strawberries gone bad in aftertaste.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Abio (1058) - Waasland, BELGIUM - JAN 30, 2011
Pours out dark orange, brown. A nice sized head that sticks good to the glass. The smell is matly, earthy, with yeast and spices. Not bad. But something inside that is weird. Full of taste, and pretty good. Fruits, malts and hoppy. Good spiced. Dry-earthy aftertaste. Decent brew for sure, one to drink again.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 mile (1221) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JAN 9, 2011
Bottle. Amber, cloudy, large and mostly lasting head. Moderate malty and sweetish aroma, very fruity, light acidity together with light spiciness and hoppyness. Body is average, malty and sweetish flavor, fruity, light spiciness and acidity. Finish is average, malty and lightly sweetish, light alcohol. Nice strong ale, although sweetish there is light acidity and spiciness which balance the sweetness.
