COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An amber, craft beer with generous amounts of hops and alcohol. This copper-gold beer is a real heavyweight and a must for beer lovers. The liberal quantities of malt and bitter hops create a complex, full flavour. It starts as slightly sweet with malty aromas of chocolate, fruit and grain, while the bitter hops stand out nicely in the aftertaste. A feast for the connoisseur!

Served on tap at Brouwerij ’t IJ. Pours a cloudy light amber with a thin frothy head. Not much aroma on the nose but flavor is strong delicious hops with a small malt backbone. Some brown sugar.

Mørk brun med mye bunnfall og lavt skum. Gjærperget duft med banan og en del blomsterjord. Smaken er tung og fruktig med hint av vanilje. Veldig tykk munnfølelse, nesten litt sirupsaktig.

330 ml bottle, from Voldby Købmandsgaard. BB date 12/2013. ABV is 9%. Cloudy brown colour, moderate head, slightly off-white. Nice aroma of dried figs, malts and a hint of chocolate. Lovely flavour with just the right balance between sweet malts and decent hops, again notes of dried figs, also raisins, brown kandij sugar and hints of oak. Will buy again.

Bottle at Gollem in Antwerp. Aroma : I can’t get past the rusty nail / dirty yeast aroma. Taste: sweet, malty, caramel and again an unpleasant metallic character. Will not finish this one

Very nice beer from Amsterdam. Beautiful colour with a healthy head. Full mouth of sweet, spicy and soft malt with fruit and vanilla

Pours a nice copper color into a point glass. Good bitterness and hops on the whole but seems too much like a trappiste beer, lacks much distinction.

Draught (Brouwerij ’t IJ, Amsterdam) - Amber with a slight haze. Biscuity malt, caramel and some slightly soapy notes in the aroma. Malty, biscuity and moderately sweet taste with peach, dried apricot, ginger and biscuity malt detected.

Brown reddish beer, slightly opaque with very little head. Smell is salty bitter with subtle caramel sweetness. Raisins, nuts and a touch of alcohol. Dark fruit. Pepper. Taste is sweet watery and slightly bitter, with a slightly astringent finish. Resin, caramel and a touch of banana and maybe oranges. Peels in the finish.

Heldere koperen kleur met een goede kraag. Ruikt honing, mout. Smaakt beetje zoet, caramel, iets bitter. Beetje fruitig.

Murky golden brown pour with a sparse white head. Hoppy aroma with some grass. Big yeasty taste.

Flasche 33cl. Haselnussbraun, trüb wie ein Weizen. Massive beeindruckende Schaumkrone. In der Nase zitrus-grasige Hopfen. Im Antrunk dann der Hopfenbomber, im Nachhall Detonationen in den Bitterknospen der Zunge. Alkohol nur zart spürbar. Wunderbares Hopfenfeuerwerk. Genial!
