An amber, craft beer with generous amounts of hops and alcohol. This copper-gold beer is a real heavyweight and a must for beer lovers. The liberal quantities of malt and bitter hops create a complex, full flavour. It starts as slightly sweet with malty aromas of chocolate, fruit and grain, while the bitter hops stand out nicely in the aftertaste. A feast for the connoisseur!

Bottle. Smells a litttle bit sour and fruity, strong smell of yeast. The Head is medium sized, creamy and white, stays very long. The beer is orange. A little bit sour in the mouth, medium duration. Dry, medium body, medium carbonation. Nice one.

Bottle at home. Pours clear amber-copper. Nose is sweet, Belgian yeast, fruits. Tastes sweet caramel, spicy yeast, bittersweet finish. Decent representation of the style but slightly boozy and one-dimensional.

Bottle, Volkshotel Amsterdam. Clear dark amber, small unstable off-white head. Aroma malts, caramel. Taste follows, gradually adding bitter hoppy elements. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The beer has a nice look. The color of the beer is a nice amber. The beer has a little cloudiness. The light orange glow in the beer is beautiful. On top of the beer a nice layer of white foam is poured. The foam collapses over time, to leave a very thin drape of foam. The beer smells nice, very nice. I smell a nice almondy alcohol aroma to begin with. I also smell some malty tones, some sweet fruit notes and a little bitter fresh hop aroma. There might be a little dark bitter touch to it. Is it roast, or chocolate? It’s a nice little contrast with the fruity sweets. The taste of the beer is also nice. I taste a very fruity flavor, it reminds me a little of the fruitiness a sweet white wine can have. There is also a lovely almondy alcohol flavor. I also taste some fresh hops. The finish has a dry bitterness. It has a little wood flavor and a pinch of metal. It could have been a bit better in the finish.

Bottle shared by Marduk, thanks! BB 05.10.2016. Pours clear amber with a nice head. The aroma’s got a strange sweetness, not exactly relating this with Columbus. Tastes sweet, hoppy, yeasty, sugary. Pretty light on the palate, carbonation moderate. The alcohol shows. Not too bad though, would probably work better when fresh.

Een goudoranje en zacht bier. Behoorlijk zoet, met aroma van suiker, bloemen en fruit. Een beetje een allemansvriend, te zoet naar mijn smaak.

330ml bottle (Alus Tirgus, Bergi). Clear dark amber color. Medium size, yellow-beige head, stays. Malty, apples, jam, sweet, fruity in aroma. Sweet, metallic, Belgian yeast, herbal hops in taste. Sweet floury malts and fruity in aftertaste. Dry mouthfeel. Tries to cover alcohol with sugar, but doesn’t succeed. Boozy brew.

Light amber colour. Little froth. Hints of gooseberries and caramel in the aroma. Sweet, caramelly, corny beginning. Brown sugar, hints of berries. Alcoholy, bit bitter finish. Sweet aftertaste. Sweet and strange.

Bottle by Marduk. Almost clear amber pour, off-white head. Nose is sweet, malts, caramel, mashed potatoes. Flavor is belgian yeast, dried fruit, some candi sugar. Finishes with hop bitterness, one note stuff, just bitter. Some barley flour. Lingering booze. Weird one, boozy.
