0.33 l bottle at ’Café Gollem’ (Raamsteeg). Clear, very dark brown to black with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, tan to brown head. Sweetish, fruity, slightly roasty aroma of mango, orange, blackberry, dark chocolate and coffee. Sweetish-malty, fruity, slightly roasty taste of dark chocolate, coffee, mango, orange, blackberry and caramel, followed by a short, slightly bitter, roasty finish. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. A bit sweet but very nice!

Pitch black, tan lacing lasting foam head. OK aroma, nice hoppy, some licorice. Quite bitter taste, some coffee and licorice notes. Like this beer. (Amsterdam 201509)

Schiim blijft redelijk staan. Geur is niet zo sterk. Fruitig.

Solid black ipa. Taste of roasted malt, dark cacao and some bitter hops. Quite yeasty, typical IJ body. Good beer.

(Botella, 330 ml)

Bottle split at the Black (IPA) Friday tasting, thanks to Sir Kenwold, 09/05/14. Dark mahogany brown with a moderate beige covering. Nose is light roast, smoke, bitter tropicana, earthy cocoa pangs. Taste comprises roasty tones, bitter grapefruit, cocoa powder, pine bite. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light hop bitterness in the close. So so CDA, limited hop presence, pineometer non to high, miss!
