COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our bokbier that rings in the autumn every year. Dark and full-bodied, but not as sweet as you would expect. The fine, light brown head holds for a long time while the dark, black-brown beer releases the aromas of the roasted malt: brown sugar, caramel and beautiful, dark fruit. The aftertaste is pleasantly dry.

On tap. Dark amber colour, opaque. Medium head but longlasting. Mouthfeel to honey, species, with a compact and elegant malt. Original and succesful, powerful and subtle. Pretty good.

Aroma is sweet and malty. Flavour is also quite sweet but not in a sickly, sugary way. There’s also a creamy, nutty edge to it.

33cl bottle @ home. Nearly black color, strong beige head. Smells caramel, biscuit, belgian ale-ish, flovor is coffee, dark chocolate, dark fruit notes, roasty. Taste light sweetness, medium to heavy bitterness. Full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation, light coffee-ish bitter-sweet finish. Dessert kind, delicious beer, not very strong aroma and flavor but a very well balanced one. Less sweetness than a usual bock beer which makes it better.

Leicht trübes rötlichbraunes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, Karamell, leicht fruchtig. Geschmack röstmalzig, fruchtig süß, minimal bitterer Abgang.

Medium foamy mokka coloured head, dark black with a slight red hint colour, soft sweet red fruity and some metal smell, medium carbonation, medium peppery bitter, metal taste in the beginning, a coffee like bitter some burned caramel hints, its a shame there’s a metal note in this beer

Bardzo dobry bock w zupelnie innym stylu niz te z Niemiec. Piana spora, gesta i wysoka, trawala. Ciemne niefiltrowane bo troche osadu nawet bylo, bardzo ciemno brazowe, mocno palony karmel, nie bylo slodkie, nawet sprawialo wrazenie ze sie stouta pije.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Hogerdijk, Culemborg. Hazy brown with a large beige head. Caramel aroma with some hops and yeast. Roasted malts in the taste. Bitter-sweet aftertaste. A bit thin bodied but pleasant enough bock.

33cl last year’s BierEnzo Bok clearing. Inspirational NL bok with a lot of redeeming features for the sugar-sticky Bock family: creamy mf joins subtle full fudge caramels, some hop spice and a hard to place smooth leafy quality. Stout-like roasted malts, excellent subtle yeast profile. Great stuff, even for inveterate non-bokkers like me.

On tap at the brewpub. I like the commercial description for this one... Hazy amber/brown pour with foamy off white head. Aroma of fresh toasted malt, light fruitiness, raisin notes, cherry as well and light caramel aroma. Taste is quite toasty/roasty, light caramel sweetness, sweetness really balanced. Light alcohol warmth. Palate is medium bodied with good carbonation. Quite nice.
