COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our bokbier that rings in the autumn every year. Dark and full-bodied, but not as sweet as you would expect. The fine, light brown head holds for a long time while the dark, black-brown beer releases the aromas of the roasted malt: brown sugar, caramel and beautiful, dark fruit. The aftertaste is pleasantly dry.

On tap. Dark amber colour, opaque. Medium head but longlasting. Mouthfeel to honey, species, with a compact and elegant malt. Original and succesful, powerful and subtle. Pretty good.

A really nice, even slightly smoky tasting bokbier. Has a thick texture that you can almost chew. Much better than most Dutch offerings this season.

Bottle. Nice deep brown with ruby hue and fast disappearing cream head. Very spicy with lots of IJ yeast, some wood, dark burnt caramel, roasted malts and toffee. Nice hoppy bitter finish. Quite dry and not very sweet. Medium bodied. One of the better Dutch bok beers.

0.33L tap. Pours red with an off-white head. Aroma is fairly mild: cereal malts and some roasty smells. Flavor is mild sweet with cereal grain, but then quickly transitions to herby hop and yeasty bitterness. Medium-full body with a sticky mouthfeel and average carbonation. Overall, not bad. Good malt character, decently balanced, but not much complexity.

Iím quite dissapointed of this beer - Iíd expected (much) more. Or did I get a bad bottle? No, I think that they still heve to work on the receipe!

Drinking from tab at bockbeer festival Amsterdam. An unpleasant aroma, sewer. The clear copper red beer has a medium off-white head. In the taste brown beans and caramel. Medium carbonated.

Bottle 33cl. Deep brown color with a light brown head that stays. Lovely aromas which I find hard to describe: wood, nuts? Taste is full with a nice bitterness which differs while it lasts in your mouth.

Aromas of bread, caramel. Caramel also in the taste, some honey, slightly bitter finish. A bit too fizzy and watery. Ok, Iím definately not a fan of bock beers. That being said, this one was quite enjoyable for a bock.

Bottle. Pours ruby with an off white head. Aroma: earthy, roasty, liquorice, caramel. Taste: caramel, roast, chocolate. Light-medium sweet (light for a bock) and bitter, moderate carbonation, creamy mouthfeel, dry, somewhat watery finish.

Bottle 33cl. Red brown with an offwhite head. Roasted malt, and some stout aroma. Nice taste which compliments the aroma and some hops present. Medium length. A really good Dutch bok.
