Poured hazy brown with a huge pillowy-creamy light beige head. Fruity aroma of belgian yeasts, some sourish green apples, figs and raisins, some caramel. Medium-full bodied one with a sturdy flavor. Hops and coriander, caramel and yeasts, fruits like overriped banana nad orange zest, some cocoa. Fine!

UPDATED: FEB 20, 2013 dark, brownis-gold, cloudy colour (with some small particles) with creamy head; candy sugar aroma and greatly ballanced taste of roasted sugar, some minimal bitterness and alcoholic (however not too intensive) sweetness with some strange spycy aftertaste. Great Christmas ale.

Igen zavaros, furcsa barna színe van, egy ugyancsak furcsa színű, gyorsan múló habbal. Egyszerűen csúnya. Illata fűszeres, teás, igen élesztős, mandulás. Íze zöld diós, gyógyfüves, dohányfüstös, kissé aszalt gyümölcsös, élesztős, borókás és komlós. Elég testes, kissé ragadós és nem túl szénsavas. Utóíze gyógyfüves, kesernyés, kissé száraz. Nem rossz, de ez nekem annyira nem jött be, kicsit kiegyensúlyozatlan szerintem.

Pours a hazy reddish brown with a creamy, beige coloured pillow on its top.
Tart, spicy nose and aroma escorted by dried fruits, caramel and citrusses underpainted gently by alcohol.
Slick, syrupy mouthfeel.
Tart-bitter and warming finish with herbs and spices.
Tasty, fine one.

Drank the 2012 addition. Purchased on bottle at Wijnhandel 2008 on the Harlemmerstraat in Amsterdam. The beer was reasonable. Had a nice fruitiness. It seemed better than previous years efforts, but definitely wasn’t the best beer I drank tonight.

At Pint winterfest 2012. Poured a cloudy orange/amber with a small thick tan head. Aroma of spced fruit and floral malts. Medium to full bodyfeel, flavour of roasted caramel malt and spiced dark fruit. Dry, sweet lingering aftertaste.
