Dark, unclear caramel-colored beer, with a somewhat light brown colored layer of foam. The aroma is apple-sweet which reminds me of an IPA. However, it taste very strange, en can be noted as "roasted"... The aftertaste is also "roasted", but doesn’t last long.... Donker, troebel caramel kleurig bier, en daarbij een iets lichtbruine schuimkraag Appelzoet aroma dat doet denken aan een IPA. De smaak daarentegen is vreemd, en is te omschrijven als "Geroosterd". Nasmaak is eveneens al "Geroosterd" te omschrijven, maar blijft niet lang hangen.

Muddy brown colour. Flavour is quite yeasty. Lacking in the warming dark malts of a Dubbel. Also too gassy.

330 ml bottle, into a tulip glass at home. ABV 6.5% Deep caramel red/brown colour on the body, no activity in it. Two fingers of light beige head, with average retention and no lacing left on the glass. Aroma of caramel and light roasted malts. Taste is much more interesting. Roasted malts again, less caramel now and more of chocolate. Medium thin body, soft carbonation. Nice dryness on the palate. Overall, besides the light colour and the uninteresting aroma, this wasn’t half bad.

250ml on tap at the brew pub. Aroma is yeast and lots of wheat. Appearance is gorgeous red/brown-ish with a nice foam. Taste is sweet and light sour. A nice light bitterness in the end. Some dryness but very slightly. A great bier.

HOME 20130415 (33 cl bottle): A good crème-coloured head and an amber clear beer (some yeast in the bottle). Aroma: Slightly roasted malt, sweet/caramel, some chocolate and raisins/dried fruit. The taste is more or less like the aroma. The beer is somewhat sweet in the beginning and some upcoming bitter in the short aftertaste. This bitter comes from the roasted malt. The beer becomes after a while a little sticky. We can also taste some yeast.

Bottle@tasting (1998), 330ml. Head: thick beige foam. Colour:hazy ,amber. Aroma: yeast, sour. Taste: sour. Palate: mild, small bitter-sweet finish. Overall: ok

Pours murky brown color with a large head. Aroma of sour fruits, yeast and malts. Flavor of sour fruits, spices, malts and caramel. Sour palate.

UPDATED: MAR 13, 2013 Charming little crazy quality brewery. Bottle from beernavigator. The aroma of this type of beer is not my favourite, but the natte is nice. Yeasty, light aroma. Nice head. Unfiltered and unpasteurized. Nice on the tongue. Had this a year ago at the brewerypub and it doesn’t disappoint me, although that time it was more fresh. Natte has a nice balance. Will have it again when I’m in the mood for a double.

(draught) pours a hazy deep ruby-amber colour with a frothy light-beige head. aroma of lingonberries and yeast, with hints of pale malts, clove and earth. flavour is heavy caramel and light earth, quite sweet, with a hint of peanuts, herbal hops and a semi-dry, mildly alcoholic finish. medium to heavy-bodied with soft carbonation.

2012 - 10 - 12 330ml bottle. brown-amber colour. medium off-white head. fruit and caramel in aroma. light sweet taste.
