3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 reakt (946) - Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 27, 2007
UPDATED: SEP 1, 2007 bottled. Dark amber with the the usual ’t IJ unruly head - big, pillowy and rapidly swelling. Fruit, yeast and spice in the nose. Taste is yeasty with some caramel, fruit and rum. Pleasant fruity bitter finish. It’s good, but there’s something not quite right about it.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 KAF (447) - Coralville, Iowa, USA - NOV 19, 2008
Particles. Prune brown in color with a 1/4 inch off white head that disapates quickly. Light and dark fruit aromas. Sweet malt flavor with some hints of fruits with a hint of alcohol at the finish with some smokiness.

Had at brewpub 6/18. Pours cloudy light brown with a tan head. Aroma of caramel, fruits, and wine. Medium carbonation. Decent beer, but a little sweet for my tastes.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 KyotoLefty (3480) - Kyoto, JAPAN - AUG 19, 2010
Draught at the brewery. A fruity, light dubbel with some caramel and raisins. Interesting, but the least likeable of the 6 beers I tried here.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Martinus (663) - Nijmegen, NETHERLANDS - MAY 18, 2011
Slightly hazy dark reddish brown body, off-white head.
Aroma quite malty, pronounced caramel, moderate hoppy with yeast tones. Flavour moderately sweet, caramel, fudge, rather creamy mouthfeel (maybe also because of the quite light carbonation) with a pleasant bitterness.
(draught -taster- @ the brewery)
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 lusikka (2062) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUL 25, 2011
330 ml bottle. BBE 06/2012.
Pours a hazy reddish brown colour with a small, off-white, quite thick and lacy head. Aroma of ripe fruits, caramel and some banana. Flavour of ripe, slightly sour fruits, caramel, malts, orange and yeast. Smooth, quite foamy mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Very easy to drink and quite refreshing.
