Our bokbier for Easter; not too sweet, thereby producing a fine flavour. The flavour and aromas give a nicely balanced mix of fruit, coriander, yeast and hops. An enjoyable combination in which the bitter element gets an additional boost from the lightly roasted malt. The aftertaste is slightly sparkling, with a long-lasting, fresh, sweet flavour. An excellent beer for celebrating the arrival of spring!

Bottle 30cl. Opaque orange amber, average off-white frothy head, nice lacing; fruity slightly perfumed nose, peaches, mandarin, tart, bread, floral hops, citrus; sweetbitter taste with honey, bit sour at the end; full body, oily texture, soft carbonation; lasting hopbitter finish, well-balanced.

Hazy orange colour with a slightly off-white head. Aromas a bit too thin, but along with the taste oranges, pineapple, apple and hoppy and malty bitterness are distinguishable. As it warms it gets more sweet (honey). Lively mouthfeel, medium-high carbonated, not too big bodied. Refreshing and balanced but flavourwise not too special.

Opaque copper orange beer with a generous head and little carbonation. Peaches, mandarin , breadiness on the nose, with some bitter alcoholic woodiness which Ive come to associate with biological beer. t Ij pulls it off nicely thou. Good balance of bitter and watery, refreshing. Full-bodied and nicely fizzy with hints of honey, caramel and some alcohol. Quite a nice beer.

Mooie oranje kleur met een goede kraag. Ruikt fruitig, hop en iets zoet. Smaakt iets bitter verder vind ik hem wat aan de zoete kant.

Pours a golden orange, a little unclear, with a full, offwhite head. Sweet aroma of honey, apple and bread. Nice taste with a little toffee, some sweetness and a good bitter. Easily drinkable. I like this.

(Draught at t IJ, Amsterdam, 28 Feb 2014) Hazy golden amber colour with dense, off-white head. Malty, fruity, spicy nose with notes of dried fruit, citrus, orange peel and spicy hops. Malty, fruity taste with dried fruit, orange peel, apricots, a touch of clove, toast and a certain spicy bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. Spicy and tasty. Quite nice.

At the brewery: Pours a murky golden/brown with an off-white head. Aroma is hoppy in the sense that hops are plant matter and this smells like plant matter. Also, there is some booze in there as it warms up, which was strange considering the relatively low alcohol. Taste is floral hops. There are somewhat darkish malts. Moderate aftertaste. Medium body.
