3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 laiti (998) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUL 23, 2011
33 cl bottle, BBE 03.2012
Flavour is a bit sour and has some earthy and leather-like notes. Dry palate. Flavour is sour too but still kind of pils-like, containing some hops, herbal notes and spices. Interesting mixed-style beer and very refreshing! Dry and sour aftertaste lingers for a long time.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Benjii (1681) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUL 7, 2011
Bottle from Cracked Kettle. Very pale, yellow colour with a thin white head. Nose is typical of a pilsener, malty with some mustiness, caramel and some sweetness. Alcohol is present on the nose also. Tastes bready from the yeast with some caramel and an odd vegetal character- courgettish. Lingering sweet, vegetal character. I didn’t mind this myself.

bottle, this is no pilsner but good golden ale i think, very nice flower, citrus aroma, pale, clear, rocky head, frothy, white foam, medium bitterness, light sweetness, medium body, slick feel, average carbonation, long finish, nice beer but not pils style
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Hermod (1476) - Vantaa, FINLAND - APR 29, 2011
33cl bottle from Bierzwerg. Poured slightly hazy, yellow color with a frothy, perfect white head and lacing. Aroma is wheat and coriander mostly. Flavor is somewhat fruity spicy and with some hint of yeast, still very dry and bitter towards finish. Ale or pilsener, whatever. This is a magnificent beer, crisp and very tasty, I want more!
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 chriso (7062) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 18, 2011
On tap at Brouwerij ’t Ij, Amsterdam on 3 April 2011. Hazy straw colour. A very crisp, refreshing brew with a firm, assertive hop presence. Distinctly bitter with a marked spicy edge (coriander?). According to the bartender this is top-fermented so is not really a Pilsner at all. Whatever it is, it made an excellent, straightforward quaffer on a sunny day. Given that, it seems a bit surprising that it is available on draught at only a few places.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 TET (685) - FINLAND - APR 8, 2011
Light yellow, cloudy beer with a quite big and white head. Aroma is fresh, belgian-style fruityness, some lemon, sweetness and sourness. Taste is quite bitter, slightly fruitfull, some peppery spicyness, slightly sourness and aftertaste is dry with grassy hoppyness. Surprisingly, a quite full bodied and with a same time also easy and pleasant. Very nice, enjoyable Pils with belgian nuancees.
2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 dutchbeerpages (770) - Wilnis, NETHERLANDS - MAR 27, 2011
Foam sticks uneven to the glass, beautiful head. Slightly bitter with nice sweet undertones. PLzen sometimes differs in taste but the last ones I had were all great. Not a big fan of Pilseners, but this is a classic.
