COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Plzeň goes to show that a beer doesn’t need a lot of alcohol to be special. With its fine, hoppy flavour, this 5% blond beer can certainly hold its own against the stronger beers. Brewed only from pale barley malt, this is a floral beer with delightful, hoppy aromas of hay and fresh grass. Deliciously dry, with a long-lasting aftertaste. We named the beer after the Czech town of Plzeň, from which Pilsner beers originate. Despite that, our Plzeň is not a Pilsner; it is a refreshing, bitter, top-fermented beer.

Pale yellow beer with a white head. There’s a nice pale malt base to the aroma along with some cracker notes. A bit of floral hops, yeast, and some fruity esters. Just a bit of a grassy hop profile. The flavor is a bit sweeter with some biscuit and cracker malt notes. Floral hops, light grass, and a hint of bitterness. Not as much in the way of fruit or esters.

Aroma: cereal, grassy aroma; Appearance: pale straw, thin, white head; Taste: cereal dominates, but stronger body/backbone than expected; Palate: very light bodied; Overall: not terrible for a pilsener or blonde ale.

On tap at the brewpub. Clear, straw yellow with a thin, creamy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish-grassy, slightly fruity, floral aroma of straw, some citrus and sweet malts. Sweetish, floral-grassy and slightly fruity taste of straw, sweet malts and citrus, followed by a crisp, medium bitter, grassy finish. Thin to medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, flat. Nice and refreshing.

Keg at the brewpub. Aroma is pale grains, cereal, light mint, grassy hops, delicate. Clear pale yellow coloured pour with a sticky white head. Flavour is composed of grain store, earthy grains, light citrus hop, mellow noble hop bitterness. Palate is fine carbonation, clean and light bodied. OK. Lingering bitterness.

27.09.2016 @brouwerij't Ij, musluk Açık sarı renk, beyaz köpük, kokuda taze malt, mayşe ağırlıkta, hafif şerbetçiotu kokusu da dengeyi sağlıyor. tadım buruk, dengeli bir acılık barındırıyor. Iyi, gövde de barındıran, ferah bir bira.
