Bottle. Pours cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aromas show pleny of bread & yeast with some bananas citus and spice. Aromas are very well balanced. Flavours show plenty of sweet malt which is not expected of this style. There is some spice and yeast but the malt dominates. Seems a slightly unusaual take on this style but very nice never the less. Good beer

Had this on tap at the brewpub, Amsterdam, 27th Oct 2009 Pours hazy yellow in colour with a clingy off white filmy head. Wheaty on the nose along with some citrus, its a very nice aroma actually. Taste is really quite full on for a wheat which is really pleasant and makes a nice change. This has some oomph, though remains a refreshing, clean and tasty beer A8 A4 F7 P4 Ov15 3.8

An original take on a wit - in fact more like a wheaty saison. Which isn’t a bad place to be. Great loose fluffy wheaty head on a hazy orange body. Very yeasty and spicy nose - fresh and vivid peach, coriander, orange zest, grass, doughy yeast. Very very coriander driven, almost to the point of sickliness, surrounded by a snowstorm of yeast, and then finishing surprisingly hoppy/bitter along with phenols like chewing on a black peppercorn. It’s hard to tell whether it would taste sweet without the coriander but it seems sweet. At least the spices taste fresh and edgy, not like the soapy coriander stuff you get in Blanche de Namur etc. As the glass went on it became a bit hard to drink, although it had my respect.

0.33 L bottle from de Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Big white head, dense and stable. Unclear, dark yellow colored body. Rather sweet-smelling. Wheaty, with notes of sweet lemonade and a faint whiff of mild spices. Taste is fairly sweet with some sourish and herbal undertones. Allso a kind of syrupy fruitiness and some hops and spices underneath. Oily, bordering on sticky mouthfeel. Sourish-sweet, fruity ending. A fairly good one, lacks some freshness though.

Hazy light orange with a medium white head. Aroma had brett, wheat and lemons. Flavour was sourish with brett, lemons, wheat and coriander. Finished sourish. Lovely wit.

330 ml bottle. From the Netherlands. Hazy yellow-amber colour with huge foamy off-white head. Delicious aroma of citrus, abricot, banana, grapefruit, coriander, yeast and some spices. Excellent combination of sweetness, bitterness and sourness. Flavour with yeast, fruits (citrus/grapefruit/apple), wheat, some spices and warming alcohol. Excellent strong Witbier. More of ’t IJ for me please.

Bottle from NBD for only $1.50 out of their cooler... wow! This is a delicious wit. Very yeasty, fruity, a lovely balancing sweetness and strawberry finish, with a light tang and slightly wheaty body. This actually reminds me of a not-too-sour berliner weisse. Excellent effort here.

330ml Bottle - Amber in colour with a slight haze. Appealing aroma with banana, peach and a hint of spice. Fruity taste with banana cake, peach and passion fruit followied by a sweet and spicy finish.
