jredmond (600), New Jersey, USA Jun 5, 2008 Bottle. Pours hazy yellow body with sediment and small white lacing. Aroma is spice and coriander. Taste is very smooth considering 7%. pivo (2486), Germany Sep 11, 2002 A beautiful hazy gold color and a head that seems to climb to the top of the glass on the sides. Lemony and citrusy with a nice dryness in the end. This stuff is silky, incredibly balanced and smooth. Had it fresh on tap from the brewery – what a taste sensation! hAl (10), Netherlands May 21, 2004 Excellent beer
allthough not a classic white. Has a softer heavier but pleasant flavor. Less grainy taste that belgina whites.
Nugget (30), Seattle, Washington, USA Oct 22, 2006 This is the best witbier I’ve ever had. The alcohol adds a lot of body which most witbiers lack. The aroma and flavor are phenomenal, very candy-like (reminds me of grape Jolly Ranchers). I’m usually afraid of the massive amounts of sediment in ’t IJ beers but I dumped everything in my glass this time and it was a very rewarding experience. Definitely worth seeking this one out. DA (2425), Portland, Oregon City, Oregon, USA Nov 13, 2006 Pours a beautiful cloudy yellow with a tall strong white head. Nose is so floral, juicy orange citrus nose with a strong corriander note. Flavor is light and refreshing, crisp in the finish with a wonderful citrus and corriander flavor. Nice little hop bit keeps it slightly bitter and refreshing. Has a slight sourness and a bit of brett taste to it.
