Darker, more alco, and fuller in the mouth than any other witbier i’ve ever seen. even the dutch guys with me said this wasn’t a wit, but it is . and a damn fine wit..not as traditional but its fun and inspiring to see a brewery push the limits. this was flowery and delicous and hazy and pronouced. me likey! | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 18, 2004 The DM & Hotstuff’s European Honeymoon trip beer number 107. This bottled brew poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles. The body contained no visible carbonation, was cloudy semi-opaque and dark brown in color. Its aroma contained notes of malty doughy . Its mouth feel is smooth mild hop bite with a palate and a disappears in the finish aftertaste. Its flavor contained malty doughy notes and was very tasty. All-in-all very nice brew. bombshelter (349), Washington, Washington DC, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Jul 23, 2007 Updated: Oct 21, 2007bottle indicates march 05 (so 2+ yrs old). pours a cloudy deep amber. head is there but must be coaxed out, and fades quickly. aroma is like a caramel apple, with some bread and yeast in the back. full, luscious body, with lots of caramelized, toasty malts. spice is evident, coriander, some citrus twinge, and a really excellent finish: still plenty of malty fruit, but dry enough that you don’t remember the big malty body. slight acidity helps here alot. really good stuff, this.
Tasted again at the brewery, on tap: pale gold. sweet caramel up front that doesn’t go away. not dry enough, and the spices and booze can’t mask it. not good.
Leaving the original rating in case this is just one that is better aged. mgumby10 (1858), Jupiter, Florida, USA

Smells os some sour and funk with good wheat characters as well. Kind of spicy as well. The taste is really refreshing with some light tartness, spices, wheat, and yeast. Good amount of citrus inthere as well. Some coriander or nutmeg give this beer a little zing to it especially in the finish. Very flavorful beer. puzzl (2661), New York, New York, USA

Very yeasty, fruity, a lovely balancing sweetness and strawberry finish, with a light tang and slightly wheaty body. This actually reminds me of a not-too-sour berliner weisse. Excellent effort here. fluids (364), USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 30, 2005 Nost of bananas and vanilla. Huge white head that goes quickly. Opaque light honey color. Complex taste. First it’s sweet and banana. Then it becomes spicey then very dry and bitter. Ends with banana tail.
