Vöröses narancssárga színe van, belül enyhén opálos. Habja közepes méretű, jó állagú és közepesen kitartó. Illata gyümölcsös, élesztős, fűszeres, malátás, kissé édeskés. Ízében is sok malátát, gyümölcsöket érezni, amihez elég sok élesztő és szép adag komló is társul, némi alkoholos édességgel. Közepesen testes, visszafogottan szénsavas. Utóíze keserédes, kissé fanyar, gyümölcsös. Kellemes.

Bottle. Pours clear golden, with a big creamy head. Aroma is sweet with yeast and fruit, as well as malty caramel and kandi. Flavour is yeast and grain, as well as sweet fruits and kandi.

330 ml bottle.
Pours a cloudy murky amber colour with a white thick creamy head. Aroma of sweet apricot, spices and grassy hops. Flavour of caramel malts, bread, spices, grassy hops, clove and some hay. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and a warming, malty, bready finish with bitterness. Alcohol comes through a bit too much. Has the same yeastiness all ’t IJ beers have - in a good way. Decent.

Pours hazy orange color with a large off-white head. Earthy aroma, some sourish fruits, hops, spices and yeast. Flavor of spices, mild malts, some fruits, yeast and caramel. Mild sourish palate, sweetish malty finish.

Aroma is somewhat fruity with peaches, some funky notes, citrus and spices. Flavour is sourish with some salt, earthy notes, citrus and hints of vinegar. Feels a bit malty on some sips. Leathery palate. Messy.

BBE 12/2013 - Pours murky orange with a tiny white head. Aroma of dry ripe fruits, malts, hints of spices and grassy hops. Taste is fruity, spicy and mildly malty with hints of grassy hops. Finish is hoppy, sweetish and mildly malty. Okay, quite hoppy Belgian ale.

Dark, unclear ginger colored beer. Sweet, fruity aroma of peaches. Bitter taste with something sweet in the middle. The bitter aftertaste remains for a while. Donker, troebel gemberkleurig bier. Zoet fruitig aroma van perziken. bittere smaak met op de achtergrond een zoete toets. De nasmaak is lang bitter.

330 ml bottle, shared by my son Steinar, who brought it from the brewery. Brownish cloudy colour, large off-white head. Lovely and interesting spicy and yeasty aroma and flavour. A beer I definitely would buy again.

Fles. Fijn schuim. Robijnrode kleur. Ruikt naar alcohol en gist. Vol mondgevoel richting het cremige. Caramel en hazelnotenschilletjes. Lijkt op bitterheid van een orval (zal de hop zijn) maar mist de complexiteit. Lekker biertje geen toppertje.
