Dubbed a barleywine style by the brewery, but with added complexity and a strong Belgian twist. A powerful, dark beer.

A Mes rate: Bottle from god knows where. Salty malty nose. Lovely amber colour with a very well behaved off white head. Tangy malty flavour. Fairly one dimensional but decent enough. Slightly milky. Alcohol is hidden well apart from a slight spirit like burn at the back of the throat in the finish. Not bad.

Pours a hazy mahogany brown color with a tan head. Aroma is raisins, malty, brown sugar, and a hint of honey. Flavor is malty, apricot, honey, and raisins.

Hazy orange-foxy beer with a good yellow-beige head. Very perfumed nose, even raspberry. Yeasty, fusel alcohols betraying themselves. Again very perfumed taste, a hint at tartness, and a lot of esters. Fruity, like strawberry flavouring, but a tad artificial. Well bodied, slick, oily, alcohol. Artificial strawberry flavour remaining in the aftertaste. A bit perfumey, and it is not a beer that one would drink at more than one an evening. Would be hard to swallow fast, even discarding the ABV.

Great beer. Earthy and basement aromas frem the yeast. Brown with , big white foam. Medium sweetness and a rather special hoppy finish.

Bottle. Rich bronze color with a big tan head. Yeasty, berry/plum aroma with some earthy malt. Rich malty flavor with some earthy yeast, spice, and plum/raisin. Fuller bodied. Lingering light fruit and lots of malt. Nice, rich, and good complexity.
