A pleasant, warming ale........... ante (2928), Stockholm, Sweden
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 20, 2007 Bottled. Hazy dark brown colour, topped with a fluffy tan-coloured head. Yeasty and biscuity aroma with notes of black cherries, black currant, alcohol and caramel with a light sourish undertone. Quite dry flavour of yeast, cherry-skins, dried figs and oily hops. Long finish of orange-peels, yeast and cherry pastilles. A very interesting ale. cchubb (73), Minneola, Florida, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 15, 2007 A strong Belgian style ale made in Holland sounds funky, but they pull it off quite well. Strong coppery color and big fluffy head bring a strong sour aroma and a slight alcoholic odor to the nose. The flavor is a little too malty for me, which gives it a barleywine aspect. 9% alcohol is not at all evident in the taste though, just the nose. Bart (1625), Vosselaar, Belgium
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 8, 2007 Light brown coloured, little carbonation. Large off white head. Fruity alcoholic aroma, with a herby touch. Full creamy body. Finish is strong, alcoholic, little dry near the end. KnutAlbert (3124), Oslo, Norway

Full, I’d say agressive taste, with a sourness kicking you in the teeth before the full malty taste is allowed in the door. This is certanly not for casual drinker, a beer with hair on its chest. Full malt, including some prunes and dates, lots of spice - cinnamon and pepper. I bought three t Ij bottles, the first two were off, but this one was great! tish (35), In transition at the moment, Indiana, USA

Bad that this beer cannot be found in dk anymore. Great looking and an aroma of explotions of fruits and some spices. This continues in the flavor where it all is handled by some hoppiness. It could be a christmasbeer
