A barley wine brewed in the English style. Struis is a full-bodied beer with a deep, dark colour and a soft, long-lasting head. The aroma is dark and sweet, with clear tones of chocolate and dried fruit. The aftertaste is dry and long-lasting, and leaves you yearning for more. A delicious accompaniment to food and ideal with skeapsrond cheese. Struis is only available as a bottled beer.

Nieco mętne ciemnobursztynowe ze średnio obfitą, rudobeżową pianą. Po otwarciu powoli chce uciekać z butelki. W aromacie na pierwszym planie feeria suszonych owocw, orzechw, kandyzowanych gruszek, wszelakich bakalii. Dużo nut sherry-podobnych. Porcja przyjemnego, jakby ciepłego karmelu, intensywne biszkopty.

Turboninja (237) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUN 21, 2015
Bottle@Maja/Talo, Tampere, Finland. Medium aroma with dark berries. Deep brown-reddish color with medium light beige head. Hazy liquid. Medium smooth taste with dark fruits, toffee and malts. Balanced. Medium taste spectrum and short/medium aftertaste with sweet malts. Medium body with medium carbonation. Very smooth barley wine without typical sourness, good. Too much carbonation, bad.

Deep red color. Faint sweet aroma. Almost stotuish boogie due to the magnifique rye. Sweet, fruity and almost breadish.

Black color with some foam. Light boozy smell with malty sweetish backbone. Quite boozy taste indeed. The taste has licorice and heaviness. The aftertaste is smooth and calm. Even a little chocolate aroma.

Snel dood. Viezig bruin zoals barley wines vaker zijn.. Veel gist. Ruikt zoet. Smaakt ook wat te zoet..

pityu (109) - Budapest, HUNGARY - MAY 29, 2015
Bottled - Deep amber colour with a thin but long lasting creamy tan head. Sweet malty aromas with a hint of dried frutis like raisins or red fruits and a little bit of herbal hops. Smooth carbonation, full bodied, thick texture. Low hoppy taste, the malty sweetness is dominant. Alcohol warmth is present, but it is not a surprise beside the 9% abv. Fine barley wine.

Swaroga (1826) - Brussels, BELGIUM - MAY 7, 2015
The bottle has over one year. It has still a very big head. The aroma is dark honey and burned caramel. The flavor is balanced and quite easy to drink. Aftertaste makes me think again about old honey. There is also a flavor of cooked red fruits and tart. In the aftertaste I sense some baryard and wet cardboard. The wet cardboard intensifies after each sip. Despite this error the beer is drinkable.
