3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 TheBeerGod (3960) - Newport News, Virginia, USA - FEB 8, 2003
UPDATED: FEB 9, 2003 Pours dark brown. Heavy sediment within the bottle. Strong aroma of chocolate, burning wood and vanilla. Taste is reminescent of a good port, and has a fruitish and slightly yeasty quality. Finishes smooth but light in the alcohol taste with a slight licorice taste. Has a dryness and hint of taste about it that seems reminescent of an aged Sam Adams Triple Bock. Recommended.
