COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dubbed a barleywine style by the brewery, but with added complexity and a strong Belgian twist. A powerful, dark beer.

Bottle at the brewery.Pours cloudy ruddy brown with a small tan head. Quite a bit of sediment. Sourly fruit aroma. Complex bitter and sour fruit flavours. Dry finish. Well-carbonated. One of those beers that only get better the more you taste of it.

TheBeerGod (3960) - Newport News, Virginia, USA - FEB 8, 2003
UPDATED: FEB 9, 2003 Pours dark brown. Heavy sediment within the bottle. Strong aroma of chocolate, burning wood and vanilla. Taste is reminescent of a good port, and has a fruitish and slightly yeasty quality. Finishes smooth but light in the alcohol taste with a slight licorice taste. Has a dryness and hint of taste about it that seems reminescent of an aged Sam Adams Triple Bock. Recommended.

Habersham Beverage Warehouse, Savannah, Ga - 330 ml bottle. Pours a dark ruby red with a frothy, creamy mocha colored head. Clean, fruity aroma, some nectarines, citrus and brief floral notes with a back end of alcohol. Very full flavored, hints of chocolate, bubble gum, peaches, dates, and a touch of licorice and some prunes. Excellent flavor. Thick, creamy mouthfeel.

Bottle, sampled at The Rover, Göteborg. Dark brown. Quadrupel nose - plum, licorice, residual sugars. Full, chewy body with notes of chocolate, licorice(impy stout comes to mind), plum, dark apples. Pretty complex. Bitter exit.

UPDATED: JUL 13, 2005 Dark brown color. Roasted malts. Rochefort like brew, but, ofcourse, not many beers match the quality of Rochefort or Westvleteren.
