2006 vintage. Pours to a hazy caramel colored body with a gigantic rocky off-white head that reminds me of Jolly Pumpkin Bam Biere. Awesome lacing. The aroma is spicy and dusty with cinnamon, nutmeg, chestnuts, and green/yellow apple skins. Sort of smells festive and saison-like. The flavor is spicy, extremely yeasty, nutmeg, cinnamon, yellow apples. Biere de garde meets saison and Belgian ale. Notes of nuts comes through in the aroma and flavor. The palate is rich, extremely carbonated, nicely textured, and dry. I should have bought more of this at Blue Max! Only $4.29.

Bottled
Hazy nut brown color, creamy beige head. Dark fruits, paperbag, glue, ginger and yeast in the nose. Grassy hops, grapes, raisins and candy sugar in the flavor and then some citrus in the aftertaste. Also some spices: ginger and cinnamon. I think this is a bit old bottle (from 2005?) and maybe not so sweet than it was originally.

Cloudy orange brown with a large white head. Sweet aroma with some yeast. Taste has plenty of alcohol and malty sweetness, but an orangey sourness predominates followed by a late dryness.

Bottled. dark amber with a huge white foam. Big estery and sweaty aroma of over-riped bananas, pears and menthol with notes of wet grass, juniper and spicy yeast. Sweaty yeast profile that provides accents of nutmeg, spices, banana, dried oranges and almonds. Full, yeasty, wild and wacky mouthfeel. Long estery finish of bamams, sweet licorice, dried oranges and yeast.
