| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 7, 2010 Bottle: deep golden, cloudy, some floaties visible, persistent and lacy off-white foam; malty-sweetish and "oaky"-sourish nose with a light tinge of hops; solid bitter-sweet flavour, medium to full bodied; gets a bit drier in the hoppy-oaky and sourish-yeasty finish. Well made stuff...... alagnak (415), Littleton, Colorado, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 7, 2010 Draft @ wildeman. Nose is lightly tart with loads of spicy, slightly alcoholic yeasty esters. Flavor starts with a little crystal sugar and yeast, then a punch of slightly bitter tropical fruits (mango/pineapple) and quite a dry finish for the style. High carbonation dries the flavors out a bit. A good one and interesting, though not overly remarkable. madmitch76 (1100), , Essex, England

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 2, 2009 Had this on tap at the brewpub, Amsterdam, 27th Oct 2009 Pours a warm yellow colour, quite hazy with a white clingy head. This is spicy sweet with a nice warmth from the alcohol and also with a slight numbness from the alcohol, there is also a nice sweet honeyness. I’ve had six great beers from this brewery, really lovely day here. A7 A4 F8 P4 Ov14 3.7 yalnikim (794), Wellington, New Zealand
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Oct 27, 2009 27/10/2009. 330ml bottle from Beerstore. Hazy pale gold. Throws a little jellied citrus fruit on the nose with an underlying herbal alcohol character. Sulphur sneaks a peek. Head fades but laces well. Simple in the mouth, similar to what I expected given the nose but sulphur on the palate detracts even more so than it did on the nose. Agh... if I wasn’t doing my GST return I’m not sure I would have kept drinking this. Somehow the acrid sulphurous yeast character balanced the bitterness of parting with cash that I should have never have received in the first place. Thumbs down. greig (181), Hamilton, New Zealand
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 16, 2009 One of the best non-Belgian Belgian ales I’ve come across. Not my favourite style but a great beer. Huge flavour. BeerChaser0078 (456), Melbourne, Australia
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 12, 2009 Bottle. Pours hazy golden orange with a big white head that lasts. Aroma is spicy citrus with a hint of caramel. Flavour is fairly similar to the aroma but with more tropical fruit, such as pineapple and passionfruit. Quite fizzy on the palate, this is a fair bit lighter, and more enjoyable, than the other beers I have had from this brewer. Nordcore (308), North of, Norway
