COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The first beer to come out of our vats, back in 1985, making it the classic beer of Brouwerij ‘t IJ. It is a ‘tripel’, the category reserved for the stronger, blonde beers in Belgian tradition. Zatte more than lives up to expectations in this respect. It is a full-bodied, golden beer with a scent of fresh fruit mingled here and there with a hint of grain. The flavour is slightly sweet, ending with a fine, dry aftertaste. A delicious beer that can be enjoyed in all seasons.

Bottle 330 ml at home, into a tulip, ABV 8% Muddy and hazy orange amber, head is white and a bit taller than one finger, soapy, with good retention though, leaving light lacing after it. Aroma has lots of nuts and grains, sugar and honey, light floral hops. Taste is much better than the aroma, sweet but good nevertheless. The grains are still there but it has fruity notes too, along of course with the sugars. Medium body, soft carbonation, mildly dry palate. Overall not bad at all, drinks good.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy golden blonde with a small head. Taste is excellent. Fruity freshness, passion fruit or mango, and a sweet carbonated kick. This bear is great.
