Bottled. Hazy golden colour, with huge creamy off-white head. Aroma is acidic fruit and barnyard. Flavour is barnyard, honey, sweet fruits and yeast. Some spicy hints also. Finish is yeasty and hoppy. Aftertaste is slight caramel and some hops.

This one was probably a bit off - bacteria infected. 33 cl bottle, bought in Amsterdam. Golden, hazy ale, a bit of a barnyard smell. Metallic, spicy, a bit sour. Some fruit, a littley yeasty finish.

Could be something wrong with my brain as the t’IJ beers do have appear to have a definate likeness - not a bad thing of course given how impressive the house style is. Spice and hops on the nose - nice. More of the same on the palate. Taste profile is very well supported with a thick layer of strong malts and alcohol. To my mind might need a touch more weight to be truly deserving of abbey tripel status. Nothwithstanding a distinguished beer.

330 ml bottle. Orange golden colour. Clear. Small head. Same brett aroma as found in the dubbel. Apricots and strawberries. High in carbonation. Mellow maltiness. Quite light malt flavour. Some drying floral hops. Fruity and a little grassy finish. Infected. Seems like a problem at the brewery.

Small white head. Orange body. Acidic, lambic-like barnyard aroma. Acidic, spicy, fruity bitter chalky tobacco taste. Clear traces of brett. :-/ This is infected, just as the Natte I had last night. Yeasty taste. Probably a lot better when not infected. Should re-rate. (0.33l bottle, thanks to Knut Albert.)

Very large offwhite head of fine bubbles. Very dense and creamy on top. Zesty orange, spices and yeast in the aroma. Nice meld of aromas for this triple. Very good carbonation. Reduces to a thick sticky sheet of lacing. Color is a slightly cloudy golden orange. Lightly sweet and malty. More orange zest and spices. Quite the good balance and very tasty. Little alcohol warming. Finish is clean with a little lingering sweetnes. I am enjoying this brew quite a lot!

Dark yellow colored, cloudy appearance. Medium sized white head. Again this fine traditional T’Ij-aroma: rich dryness with hops and obvious yeast, fruits, apple, lemon and spices also there. Medium bodied. Even better flavor with orange, strong yeast, apple and hops. Crispy palated.
