Hazy golden ale with a thick creamy white head. Pleasant funky Orval aroma, coriander and herbal hops. In mouth, smooth lightly sweet malts, with ground cherries, coriander and light spicey final. Creamy, smooth. Very much in Orval style. Bought at Knighly Liquors, Orlando, 4.49$

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 ChristianSA (368) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 12, 2005
UPDATED: FEB 20, 2006 Bottle. Egg white like head leaving thick, creamy laze on top of a hazy golden beer with some black grains floating around. Yeasty, but nonetheless interesting aroma with mango and orange peel. Flavor is balanced but on the thin side - almost watery. Dry and minerallic and the bitterness is a less harsh than usual from this brewery (are they using very hard water???). Creamy mouth feel with lively carbonation. A characterful beer with some flaws - but I wouldn’t mind having again.
Rerate:
..and I did!
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 heykevin (1269) - Decorah, Iowa, USA - DEC 3, 2005
Lightly hazy golden. Lightly spicy aroma , some spicy hops, bits of cardboard. Light to medium bodied. Some apple tart, but very sweet in the finish. Less apparent oxidation in the flavor than in the aroma, but I’m not exactly impressed.
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 ericnixon (731) - Northampton, Massachusetts, USA - DEC 2, 2005
Poured a cloudy golden color with minimal to no head. It has an odd tarty, messed-up apple aroma that is somewhat pungent. Sharp mouthfeel with a very quick burst of orange-y, appley flavor that completely goes away very quickly. Zero aftertaste. Didn’t enjoy it.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 MesandSim (7108) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 20, 2005
A Mes rate:
Nothing at all that I can see or taste to make a fuss about really. A very standard tripel. Seems a little over rated on here if you ask me.

33 cl bottle. Yeast in bottom. Golden to amber colour with a big white head. Nice aroma of sweet orange and notes of yeast. Nice flavour of complexity, with a malty and warm finish.
