COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A golden Tripel-style ale. A little lighter in alcohol, but not in flavor, than Westmalle, and more drinkable. It matches the best of Belgium.

12 oz bottle. date is 3/06 not sure what that means i don’t think it could mean its a 5 year old brew though, it was out of the fridge at the store. It pours a deep god with a slight bit of hase, the head is big, foamy, and white and recedes quickly, then slowly, leaving only spots of lacing. The smell is awesome. Think if someone dropped a banana in a glass of Orval. It has a bright citrusy funk alongside ripe banana. There is some earth and spiciness and a hint of grain as well. hint of strawberry. The taste doesn’t evoke as much funk. It is fruity, slightly musty, slightly earthy, with a dryness like Orval. It has a nice fruity tang, some slight alcohol, and some grain. Holy fuck, is this orval junior or what? Caught me off guard. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 07-26-2010 00:03:00

Cloudy light orange coloured beer with a good sized head that holds pretty nice, and sticks good to the glass. The aroma is very malty, light hopped, fruits and decent spiced. The taste is about the same, sweet start, malty, light bittering hops, fruits and good spiced. Pretty good brew, with a very morderated biterness at the end.

33cl bottle at Cafe Hoppe in Amsterdam. They called it their local beer. Pours a hazy, burnt gold with a frothy, foamy white head. Nose is wet and slightly stale Hallertau hops, sweet, grassy, candy sugar, some yeasty esters. Flavor is sweet, candy sugar, banana, cloves, yeast, light lemon cough drop. Full bodied finish with some light alcohol burn. I was pleasantly surprised.

Not my favorite. Its bio-ness I think keeps it tasting like a raw bleached WIT malt that gives their beer a funky flavor. Not exactly sure what I really dont like about it other than that. I just dont like the taste or the aftertaste or the alcohol aroma. Not good to me.

Bottled 33cl. Ordered from www.bierzwerg.de. Unmemorable. Very yeasty. Pear is rather present throughout.

Bottle 330ml. Great beer. Aromas of butter, apple, hint of citrus. Taste is sweet, with balancing bitterness, and a touch of sourness; very long lasting. Palate is creamy, with a medium body. Orange, with a frothy white head.

Bottle. Golden, hazy, average and mostly lasting head. Medium, malty and sweetish aroma, spiciness (citrus, coriander) and sour fruitiness. Body is medium, malty and sweetish flavor with light fruity sourness, light spiciness and bitterness. Finish is average, malty with some sweetness, light spicy fruitiness and alcohol. Nice fruity aroma, flavor is bit too sweet and malty for me - aroma and flavor are not in balance.

Countbeer (1686) - Best of Eindhoven ohne Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - NOV 29, 2010
Bottle: Big white foamy head on top of a hazy yellow colored beer. Smell fruits, orange, peach, malts, honey, spices, hops, citrus, hint of yeast. Taste is fruity, orange, hops, bitter, citrus, bit flowery, spices, light peppery. Nice aftertaste of hops (bitter) and fruits. Medium carbo and body and soft to tingling on the tongue.
