COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A golden Tripel-style ale. A little lighter in alcohol, but not in flavor, than Westmalle, and more drinkable. It matches the best of Belgium.

This one was probably a bit off - bacteria infected. 33 cl bottle, bought in Amsterdam. Golden, hazy ale, a bit of a barnyard smell. Metallic, spicy, a bit sour. Some fruit, a littley yeasty finish.

Draught at the brewpub.
Hazy golden/orange coloured, medium sized soapy white head, pleasant yeasty nose. Sweet yeasty aroma with notes of coriander and other spices. Slight acidic bitter finish.

DuffMan (4241) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - OCT 15, 2007
Bottle, dated 2002. Pours a hazy orange amber with a volcanic white head that slowly settles into a thin creamy pad. Aromas of apples, cloudberries, and barnyard must. Sweet lively palate of apples, pears, chamomille, hay, and barnyard mustiness. A slightly medicinal finish. Very complex and surprisingly refreshing. I enjoyed this enormously.

Bottled. Hazy golden, large white head. Grassy, hoppy flavour. Dry and sourish flavor. A bit geuze-ish.

Svesse (4215) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - FEB 5, 2007
(Draught at Monk’s Café, Stockholm, 2 Feb 2007) Orange colour with huge, but brief, white head, leaving some lacing. Fruity nose with distinct citrussy notes of orange, Seville orange and citrus peel. Fruity, spicy taste with apricots, orange, Seville orange and a fresh, spicy finish. This was quite a nice and tasty beer, actually.

This bottle conditioned brew poured a medium sized head of frothy white colored fine to medium sized bubbles that left behind a hazy slightly carbonated body with fine yeast particle floaties. It had a mild malty floral aroma and a very good lacing. The mouth feel was initialy tingly and malty with a mellowing in its finish and a mild fruity aftertaste. The flavor was fruity in a flowery way with a solid malt base.

Apologies, but I can not remember who opened this at the Cellars tasting. Thanks, though! Gold color with a thin head. Both the aroma and the flavor are packed with sugary malt. No real hop bitterness, no spices, no yeastiness... Just sugary malt. Tasty enough for me!

A spicy and quite fresh triple. Bitter palate.
